PHYSICS DAY 2.0: Today we're not calculating distance, we're closing the gap between us! 🧭✨

Beyond the equations, the coordinate systems, and the cosmic scales lies the true force that binds us—community. This Physics Day, we're pulling our worlds closer together, breaking down the space between minds, and celebrating the universe we share.
No calculus needed for this one—just pure, unadulterated passion for discovery. Let's make this day monumental! 🚀🪐

To all Mindanao State University undergraduate and graduate physics students, it’s time to pause the derivations, step out of the lab, and pull our orbits together. Let’s decode the physical cosmos and build stronger connections!

Here is your trajectory for the day:

📅 Date: August 17, 2026
🕗 Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
📍 Venue: Golf Course & Science Lecture Hall (SLH)
👕 Attire: Shift into your favorite shade of blue! 💙

See you there as we bridge the gap between starlight and structures! 🚀🪐

In the ever-evolving landscape of modern healthcare, precision has become as essential as compassion. Every accurate diagnosis, carefully planned radiation treatment, and technological breakthrough begins with research driven by scientists determined to improve lives. This spirit of innovation took center stage as experts across the region convened for the 24th Southeast Asian Congress of Medical Physics (SEACOMP ) and the 7th PhiIippine Conference on Medical Physics (PCMP ), held from June 10-13, 2026, at The Manila Hotel, Manila, Philippines.

The conference was organized by the Society of Medical Physicist in the Republic of the Philippines in partnership with the Southeast Asian Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP), the conference carried the theme, "Synergizing Education and Advancing CIinical outcomes in Medical Physics." More than an academic gathering, the four-day congress served as a platform where education, innovation, and clinical practice converged to shape the future of healthcare across Southeast Asia.

Medical physicists, researchers, educators, clinicians, and industry leaders across the SEA region exchanged scientific discoveries, explored emerging technologies, and forged collaborations aimed at improving patient care. From radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging to nuclear medicine and computational simulations, each presentation showcase how scientific precision continues to redefine medical treatment.

Among the distinguished participants were graduate researchers from the Physics Department of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Mindanao State University-Main Campus, whose studies reflected the institution's growing contribution to computational medical physics.

Through advanced Monte Carlo simulations and innovative dosimetric investigations, these young scientists demonstrated that meaningful discoveries can emerge from rigorous research, even before entering the clinical field.
