Mindanao State University welcomes the 9th Regular President of the System, MP Atty. Paisalin P. Tago.

June 27, 2025 -- The Office of the President, Malacañang, has officially appointed MP Atty. Paisalin Pangandaman Tago as the new President of Mindanao State University, replacing late Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno. The appointment, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, is for a term of six years.

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: The Office of the President of the Philippines has conferred the appointment of Atty. Paisalin Pangandaman Tago, as the appointed president of the Mindanao State University System, with a mandate to serve a term of six (6) years.

Atty. Tago is entrusted to lead the university system in its continued pursuit of high-quality, and inclusive education. With his extensive background in governance and legal service, he is expected to guide the institution with purpose, integrity, and a strong commitment to public service.

The MSU community looks forward to this new chapter of leadership, guided by a shared vision for academic excellence and institutional growth.

The entire Mindanao State University System mourns the passing of its beloved President, Atty. Hassanul Basari Dimakuta Mapupuno, who returned to his Creator on this day, May 27, 2025.

In this moment of loss, we ask Allah (s.w.t), the Most Merciful, to forgive his shortcomings, to multiply his righteous deeds, and to grant him an honored place among the believers. May our prayers bring solace to his family and encourage us all to embody compassion and integrity in our daily lives.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those he served, and his legacy will continue to shape the future of the university he truly cherished, inspiring generations to uphold the values and vision he steadfastly promoted.
