Official page of the Access Program in Marawi City, Philippines The program is funded by the Education and Cultural office of the US Embassy in Manila.
The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) provides a foundation of English language skills to talented 13-20 year-olds from economically disadvantaged sectors through after-school classes and intensive sessions. Access gives participants English skills that may lead to better jobs and educational prospects. Participants also gain the ability to compete for and participate in future exch

My class learned about some of the most iconic American symbols—the American flag, the Great Seal, and the Statue of Liberty.
After the discussion on American symbols, the class was divided into groups and tasked with creating symbols that would represent Access students. It was amazing to see the creativity and ingenuity of the class as they worked together to come up with symbols that embodied their shared experiences and aspirations.
In the end, we came away from this lesson with a deeper appreciation for the power of symbols to unite and inspire us as a nation.
