KAPAGANAD: An Individual Tutoring Program
Extension Program of the NSTP-LTS (Department of Secondary Teaching, College of Education)

Today, we officially launched our Orientation Day and Pre-Test for KAPAGANAD, a learner-centered individual tutoring initiative designed to address reading and numeracy gaps among Grade 7 learners. This continue the meaningful collaboration between our partner institution and the dedicated NSTP-LTS students from the Department of Secondary Teaching, College of Education.

A special recognition is due to our School Principal, Hamdani Lacson S. Sulog, whose active leadership and hands-on guidance ensured the smooth conduct of today’s activities. His commitment to assessing the real challenges faced by our students, and taking steps to bridge these gaps reflects his unwavering dedication to uplifting the quality of learning within the school.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the people, offices, and organizations who made this kickoff possible. Your support fuels our mission to strengthen literacy, numeracy, and confidence among our young learners while empowering our student tutors to grow as future educators and leaders.

In view of the continuous rainfall and prevailing unsafe weather conditions, the City Government of Marawi announces the suspension of classes tomorrow, February 23, 2026, in all levels, both public and private schools, to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant, prioritize safety at all times, and monitor official channels for further announcements and updates.

📣 PUBLIC ADVISORY

Due to Tropical Depression “Basyang,” classes at all levels in both public and private schools in the Islamic City of Marawi are hereby suspended effective today, February 5, 2026, until further notice.

This is a precautionary and preventive measure to ensure the safety of our students, teachers and school personnel in Schools. Please be guided accordingly.

Continuing the Legacy – Second Semester Deployment

New Semester, New Beginnings: Welcoming Another Batch of Future Educators!

As we open the Second Semester of the academic year, Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy Inc. is honored to continue its long-standing tradition of excellence. Today, we officially welcomed another batch of aspiring teachers from the Mindanao State University - College of Education (MSU-CED).

This orientation marks a significant chapter in a partnership that has spanned over a decade. Our School Principal, Mr. Hamdani Lacson S. Sulog, provided a comprehensive orientation for our 16 new guest educators:
* 10 Practice Teaching Students (BSEd English)
* 6 Student Observers (ELC 1 & 2)

Sir Sham spoke passionately about the "heart of teaching," emphasizing that being an intern or observer is a sacred duty. He reiterated the essential "Do’s and Don’ts" of the academy, reminding the students that professional ethics and classroom discipline are the foundations of a successful career.

Monib, for emerging as the Champion in the Mathematics Category during the CSDM: Wizard of Wisdom Grade 10 – 2026 competition. This remarkable achievement reflects Farhan’s dedication, perseverance, and exceptional analytical skills, bringing pride and honor to our school community.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the unwavering guidance, commitment, and support of his advisers and coaches. We would like to give special recognition to Ms. Sarima B. Simbano, LPT, and Ms. Haulah S. Calandada, LPT, whose guidance, encouragement, and tireless efforts played a vital role in shaping and honing our students’ academic excellence.

The ongoing test of the Grade 10 learners encountered several challenges today, including slow internet connectivity, system traffic, and scheduled system maintenance. As a result, the examination is expected to extend beyond the regular schedule and may finish overtime, until 8:00 PM tonight.

Our Grade 10 learners persevered and successfully continued the National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) 2026. Their patience, resilience, and determination truly reflect their commitment to learning and self-discovery.

Held on January 26–27, 2026, the NCAE serves as an important step in helping students identify their strengths, interests, and potential career paths as they prepare for Senior High School and beyond.
