The Physics Department of Mindanao State University-Main Campus, Marawi City is now accepting applications for the DOST-STRAND Scholarship for the 1st Semester of AY 2026-2027 for the following programs:

1. 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 (𝐌𝐒 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬) and
2. 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 (𝐏𝐡𝐃 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬)

Requirements:
1. PSA-Issued Birth Certificate
2. Transcript of Records (Certified True Copy)
3. Letters of Recommendations from two (2) former professors
4. Medical Certificate from a licensed physician
5. Valid NBI Clearance
6. Concept Paper
7. (For employed applicants only) Permit to Study and Recommendation Letter from Head of Agency.

​Special Muslim Grantees: 130–134
​Qualified for AB/BS Programs: 80 and above
​Technology Programs (Terminal): 77–79

Science Day 2026

Last April 22, 2026, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics came alive as we celebrated Science Week 2026: Celebrating Excellence, Resilience, and Collaborative Innovation 🧪🔬

From vibrant displays to inspiring moments of unity, the day highlighted not just scientific brilliance, but the passion and dedication of every student, faculty, and staff.

The Physics Department proudly stood out in shades of pink, embodying the sweet and powerful spirit of the Candy Kingdom from this year’s Adventure Time-inspired theme 🍬💖proving that science can be both fun and impactful.

Together, we celebrated breakthroughs, strengthened collaboration, and showcased the resilience that drives innovation forward. Here’s to pushing boundaries, exploring new ideas, and continuing the journey of discovery! 🚀

Empowering the next generation of scientists.
This tutorial series is thoughtfully designed to uplift and support our BS Physics students as they navigate the challenges of core Mathematics and Physics subjects. From Pre-Calculus to University Physics, these sessions aim to strengthen foundational knowledge, build confidence, and deepen conceptual understanding essential for every aspiring physicist.

What makes this initiative even more meaningful is the guidance of dedicated graduate studies students from the Physics Department, who step forward not only as lecturers but as mentors. Their experience, insights, and passion for the field create a collaborative learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow academically.

This is more than just a tutorial session, it is a space where learning becomes a shared journey, where future physicists are shaped, and where the spirit of the physics community thrives.
