As Academic Year 2025โ2026 comes to a close, the Mental Health Advocates' Club proudly looks back on a year filled with meaningful initiatives, purposeful conversations, and unwavering commitment to mental health advocacy.
Through lectures, orientations, seminars, trainings, psychosocial activities, and peer-support programs, MHAC continued its mission of promoting mental health awareness, empowering students, and fostering a community where every individual feels seen, heard, and supported.
Each activity conducted throughout the year reflects our shared belief that mental health matters and that advocacy begins with education, compassion, and action. These accomplishments were made possible through the collective efforts of our dedicated officers, active members, supportive advisers, partner organizations, and every participant who joined us in advancing this cause.
As we present this Accomplishment Report, we celebrate not only the programs we successfully implemented but also the lives we have reached, the conversations we have started, and the safe spaces we have created together.
The Mental Health Advocates Club likewise extends its sincere appreciation to our outgoing Club President, ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐จ๐ก๐๐ง๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ, whose leadership, dedication, and passion for service have guided the organization throughout the academic year. Your commitment to strengthening MHAC's advocacy and empowering fellow students has left a meaningful impact that will continue to inspire future leaders and advocates.
This year may be ending, but our mission remains the sameโto continue championing mental health, breaking stigma, and creating a more compassionate and supportive community for all.

Mental health is not only about overcoming strugglesโit is also about recognizing the values, emotions, and strengths that help us grow, heal, and connect with others.
As part of our celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Mental Health Advocatesโ Club (MHAC) invites everyone to take a moment to pause, reflect, and find the words that truly matter. โจ
This simple activity reminds us that healing can begin with awareness, reflection, kindness, and understandingโnot only toward others, but also toward ourselves.

On Ad Hominem Attacks and Security Threats in Digital Spaces The Commission on Studentsโ Rights and Welfare (SRAW) expresses its grave concern regarding recent incidents in the comment section of a post published by the Supreme Student Government (SSG), where certain individuals were subjected to personal attacks, public humiliation, and, more alarmingly, security threats from anonymous and identifiable accounts.
While the Commission recognizes the right of students to express opinions, dissent, and constructive criticism, we firmly condemn actions that cross the line into ad hominem attacks, harassment, intimidation, and threats. Criticizing ideas, policies, or actions is a legitimate exercise of freedom of expression. However, targeting individuals through mockery, malicious insinuations, the unauthorized posting of photos for the purpose of humiliation, and the issuance of threatsโwhether explicit or impliedโconstitutes a violation of the principles of human dignity, student welfare, and campus safety.
The Commission emphasizes that digital platforms are extensions of our campus community. As such, they must remain spaces where discourse is guided by respect, accountability, and responsibility. Freedom of speech does not equate to freedom from responsibility. No student should be subjected to harassment, character attacks, or threats to their safety for participating in campus affairs or expressing their views.
We particularly condemn the circulation of threatening messages reportedly sent by strangers. Any form of threat, whether online or offline, is unacceptable and may constitute a violation of university policies and applicable laws. The safety and security of students remain paramount.
In line with our mandate to uphold and protect studentsโ rights and welfare, the Commission:
1. Strongly discourages ad hominem attacks and all forms of digital harassment.
2. Calls on students to engage in principled, issue-based discourse rather than personal attacks.
3. Urges individuals who have received threats or harassment to formally report these incidents to the proper authorities for appropriate action.
4. Reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environmentโboth within the campus and in digital spaces associated with it.
We call upon the student body to remain vigilant in upholding a culture of respect, accountability, and empathy, especially during times of heightened tension or crisis. Let us resolve disagreements through dialogue and reason, not hostility and intimidation.
