Day 4 โ On December 4, 2025, The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management delegates in Manila continued their industry engagement with a productive visit to Hilton Manila, where they explored the hotelโs facilities and met with key hotel representatives to discuss potential practicum opportunities for MSU-CHTM students, focusing on building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Another highlight of their visit was touring Hilton Manilaโs Halal-certified kitchen and meeting the hotelโs Halal chef, Chef Aminah Alonto.
Chef Aminah Alonto specializes in Asian Cuisine and Indo-Malay Cuisine. She had represented Marco Polo Cebu in the Cebu Goes Culinary competition and was featured in SunStar Cebu. She also served in the Asian Station at Marco Polo Cebu, gaining expertise in Asian cuisine. Currently, she is the Chef de Partie of the Halal Kitchen at Hilton Manila as she continues to refine her craft, striving not just to improve but to excel, and carries her Maranao identity with confidence as she rises in the culinary world.
Through this visit, the CHTM faculty gained practical insights on Halal standards, food safety, and culturally sensitive service for Muslim guests.
Once again, a sincere thanks to the MSU administration's support for the team to participate in this meaningful engagement aimed towards expanding practicum options, strengthening industry collaboration, and aligning the college's hospitality and tourism programs with global and faith-based practices for the benefit of its students and stakeholders.
