The General Education Major Society successfully conducted its Lakbay Aral at Tulain Elementary School, Lumbaca-Ingud, Bacolod-Kalawi, Lanao del Sur, on March 8, 2026. With the theme “Handog Eskwela: Kagamitan para sa Tagumpay,” the activity brought smiles and inspiration to the pupils of Tulain Elementary School through the distribution of school supplies, hygiene kits and a short educational talk. The event highlighted the importance of learning and encouraged pupils to continue pursuing their dreams through education.

The GEMS would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the College Dean, Dr. Rohanifah T. Mama-Marohombsar, for her continuous support and encouragement in making this activity possible. Our sincere thanks as well to the teachers and School Head of Tulain Elementary School Ma’am Masmiah P. Manaol, PhD, for warmly welcoming us and assisting throughout the activity. Lastly, we are truly grateful to all the volunteers whose time, effort, and generosity helped make this meaningful outreach successful.

Through initiatives like this, GEMS continues to promote service, learning, and community engagement among future educators.

Please be informed that the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA) has officially released Memorandum No. 001-0302-OVCAA, regarding the excusal of students for our upcoming College-Based Orientation.

In coordination with the Dean of the College of Education, the Vice-Chancellor has granted permission for all participating CED students to be excused from their respective classes on March 11, 2026 (7:30am to 11:40am, and 1:00pm to 3:00pm) to attend the orientation at the International Convention Center (ICC). This is a vital opportunity for us to gather as a college, and we encourage everyone to take part in the scheduled activities.

A Quick Reminder on Examinations: While students are granted permission to be absent from regular classes, the memorandum explicitly states that scheduled examinations must take precedence. If you have an exam scheduled for March 11, you are required to attend your exam first before joining the orientation activities.

In alignment with the national government's energy efficiency initiatives (Memorandum Circular No. 114 s. 2026) and in honor of the sacred final ten days of Ramadhan—a period of profound spiritual reflection and family for our Muslim community—Mindanao State University - Main Campus, Marawi will observe an 𝑬𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒚 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 13 𝒕𝒐 22, 2026. This break allows everyone the opportunity for religious observance, family connection, and encourages responsible energy consumption throughout the campus.

During this time, regular classes and non-essential office operations will be suspended. Essential services shall adopt skeletal workforce arrangements and previously scheduled activities shall continue operations. Normal classes and operations will resume on March 23, 2026.

Alhamdulillah! The General Education Major Society has successfully conducted a Ramadhan Donation Drive at Darul Izza Litahfidiel Qur-anil Kareem, Camalig, Marantao, Lanao del Sur.

This activity reminds us that Ramadhan is not only about fasting, but also a time of compassion, generosity, and unity. Through this initiative, we were able to extend a helping hand to those in need and share the blessings of this holy month of Ramadhan. It was a meaningful experience that brought our organization and the community closer together, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, efforts, resources, and support in making this initiative possible. May Allah accept our deeds, purify our hearts, and reward everyone who contributed.

It was truly a meaningful and reflective experience as we came together to seek knowledge and celebrate the blessed month of Ramadhan.⁣⁣

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐡 𝐓. 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚-𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐬𝐚𝐫, Dean of the College of Education, for her unwavering support in making this seminar possible.
