Ramadhan Iftar Drive 2026: Sharing Blessings Through Giving

On March 4, 2026, the Supreme Student Council of RC-AKICFI successfully conducted its Ramadhan Iftar Drive, bringing joy and assistance to selected Torils in the community. Through this initiative, meals and grocery packs were distributed to families in need, allowing them to break their fast with dignity and gratitude during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Ramadhan is not only a time of fasting but also a time that reminds believers of the value of compassion, generosity, and solidarity with others. Acts of charity during this sacred month carry deep spiritual meaning, as Muslims are encouraged to extend kindness and support to those who have less. Through small yet sincere acts of giving, communities grow stronger and more united.

As narrated in the Hadith, the importance of generosity during this month is clearly emphasized. The Prophet Muhammad said:
“The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” — Narrated in Jami’ at-Tirmidhi

The success of this meaningful activity would not have been possible without the generous hearts of our donors and supporters. Their kindness and willingness to share their blessings allowed the council to extend help to those who needed it most. The Supreme Student Council of RC-AKICFI sincerely expresses its gratitude to everyone who contributed and made this initiative possible.

A Hand Extended in a Time of Need

Recently, Tropical Storm Basyang brought heavy rains and flooding to many parts of Mindanao. The storm left heartbreaking damage in its wake—lives were lost, homes and establishments were destroyed, and countless families were forced to face sudden hardship. For many, recovery will take time, strength, and support.

One of the areas greatly affected was Iligan City. At the time of the storm, several students from RC-AKICFI were staying there to prepare for their upcoming board examinations. Instead of focusing solely on their reviews, these students found themselves dealing with the impact of the calamity—disrupted routines, personal losses, and the emotional toll of uncertainty.

Moved by concern and a strong sense of responsibility, the Supreme Student Council took action. On February 15, 2025, the council organized an outreach initiative to personally reach out to the affected students in Iligan City. The visit aimed not only to provide assistance but also to show solidarity during a difficult time.

Basic necessities such as groceries and essential supplies were distributed to help address the students’ immediate needs. More importantly, the effort reminded them that they were not forgotten. In moments like these, simple acts of kindness—showing up, listening, and lending a hand—can bring comfort and renewed hope.

This initiative reflects the true importance of compassion and generosity, especially in times of crisis. When disasters strike, it is our willingness to help one another that strengthens our community. Giving is not always about grand gestures; sometimes, it is simply about being there when someone needs support the most.

Through this act of service, the Supreme Student Council demonstrated that kindness and unity can make a real difference. May this effort inspire others to continue extending help, offering care, and standing together—especially when circumstances are hardest.

[Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 261]

مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنبُلَةٍ مِّائَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَاللَّهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

"The parable of those who spend their property in the way of Allah is as the parable of a grain growing seven ears (with) a hundred grains in every ear; and Allah multiplies for whom He pleases; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing."
