In accordance with Memorandum No. 029-OP s. 2025 from the Office of the President, all faculty and students are highly encouraged to attend and participate in the upcoming program:
"Voices and Votes: A Political Education Roadshow for the 2025 BARMM Parliamentary Elections"

This program aims to enhance political awareness and strengthen democratic participation for a peaceful, credible, and inclusive election in the Bangsamoro region.

MSU strengthens its role in democracy through voter education for the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary Election

Just a day after the investiture of the MSU System’s 9th regular President, Atty. Paisalin P. D. Tago. The signing of this Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) showcases transformative leadership and reaffirms MSU’s commitment to regional development and democratic strengthening. The synergy between academia, civil society organizations, and electoral governance is key to empowering the Bangsamoro electorate.

The Mindanao State University (MSU) System, led by President Atty. Paisalin P. D. Tago, has formalized a tripartite partnership with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), represented by Cynthia Guerra, Country/Bangsamoro Representative, and the Commission on Elections–BARMM (COMELEC–BARMM), represented by Regional Director Atty. Ray F. Sumalipao, CPA, CSEE. Facilitated by the MSU Institute for Regional and Local Governance (IRLG) and the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM).

This collaboration coincides with the start of the official election period for the 2025 BARMM Parliamentary Elections and launches “Voices and Votes: A Political Education Roadshow”—a non-partisan initiative to enhance civic awareness and promote informed democratic participation across Bangsamoro.

The MSU Institute for Regional and Local Governance (IRLG) Director Prof. Mahid Rachman, University Extension Services – Ranaw Sustainability and Resiliency Center Director, Prof. Melencio Jalova Jr., and Dr. Nasser Andam Jr. of the Public Administration Department paid a courtesy call on Mayor Gandamra to express their support for his inspiring leadership and vision for Marawi City.

ATTENTION DPA, MPA, and MSCD Graduands!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Graduate Hooding Ceremony on Sunday, July 20, 2025!

Here’s what you need to know:

✨ Hooding Ceremony Details:

📅 Date: July 20, 2025 -1:00 PM at the International Convention Center (ICC) of MSU
💰 Hooding Fee: ₱2,000 per graduate (inclusive of food, tokens, venue, and event materials)
➡️ Payment: Ms. Salam Ati – 09283867682 (Public Administration Department)
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Guardian Policy: Only 2 guardians per graduate will be allowed to attend. (Entrance stub will be provided)

✨ Event Protocols:

*Roll call will be done using index cards for smooth program flow. Bring safety pins for your hood!

An official photographer will be present to capture your milestone moments!

All graduates are requested to follow the formal marching protocol.

Let’s celebrate this special milestone together!

Note: CGM graduands are not required to attend this program.

This Pre-Conference Symposium is in preparation for the upcoming 4th International Conference on Governance and Development scheduled to take place on July 31 - August 2, 2025 in Kasetsart University Bang Khen Campus, Bangkok, Thailand.

This collaborative effort involved various schools: University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) - College of Public Affairs and Development, Kasetsart University (Bangkok, Thailand), MSU-Marawi - College of Public Affairs and MSU-LNAC.
