HAPI joins the celebration of the National Teacher’s Month, which is held from September 5 to October 5. The movement led by various multi-sectoral groups recognizes Filipino teachers and educators and their contribution in shaping the country’s future through the “My Teacher, My Hero” campaign.

Presidential Proclamation 242 in 2011 formally declared “the period from September 5 to October 5 of every year as National Teachers’ Month”. In 2016, the movement reached a milestone with the enactment of the Republic Act 10743, officially designating “October 5 of every year as National Teacher’s Day’,” – the culminating event of the NTM celebrations.

This month, let us honor all our teachers and educators - our teacher moms and teacher dads, our older siblings, our Lolos and Lolas, Titos and Titas, our tutors, teachers, advisors, and coaches for their service and contribution to nation building. This HAPI campaign aims to foster a culture of appreciation for the country’s heroes and heroines in the classrooms and homes by engaging everyone in appreciating the contributions of all Filipino teachers and the nobility of the teaching profession.
