Conducting mock board examinations for Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) takers is important because it helps assess students’ readiness, improve test-taking skills, and reduce examination anxiety. Mock board exams simulate the actual board examination environment, allowing examinees to become familiar with the format, time pressure, and types of questions they may encounter. This practice enhances confidence, strengthens critical thinking, and identifies areas that need further improvement before taking the actual licensure examination. Additionally, mock exams encourage discipline, effective study habits, and better preparation, which contribute to higher chances of success in the CLE.

The total amount to be paid will depend on the number of units enrolled. Disclosure of total amount to be paid will be determined by the Department Chairperson or Enrolling Officer. A substantial amount can be paid as partial payment.

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀

Students of the Criminology program were given a rare and enriching opportunity to witness the solemn proceedings of the Regional Trial Court under the guidance of the Honorable Judge Samina Usman-Macabando. The experience brought to life the principles of Evidence, a subject often confined within the walls of the classroom, and allowed the students to see how the rules they study are faithfully applied in the actual administration of justice.

Inside the courtroom, they observed the careful presentation of documentary, testimonial, and object evidence, and how each piece was scrutinized to ensure its admissibility and relevance. What struck the students most was the way Hon. Judge Macabando presided with wisdom, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to due process demonstrating the crucial role of evidence in upholding truth and justice.

The observation deepened the students’ appreciation of their chosen field, bridging theory and practice in a meaningful way. It inspired them to pursue their studies with greater passion, knowing that the knowledge they gain will one day serve as their foundation in protecting rights, ensuring justice, and strengthening the rule of law.

Truly, this experience was more than just an academic requirement. it was a transformative moment that reaffirmed the noble calling of every criminology student: to stand as future guardians of truth and justice.

Thanks to the guidance of Prof. Omie-Kalthum I. Macasapal, their faculty in Evidence, who accompanied and mentored the students throughout this enriching court observation experience.
