MSU CED Department of Secondary Teaching This is the Official Page of the Department of Secondary Teaching of CED, MSU-Main Campus.

The Department of Secondary Teaching offers a Bachelor of Secondary Education. It is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization/major at the secondary level. The BSEd curriculum majors in English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies provide secondary teaching experiences through apprenticeship and practicum and training for competent technology integration in the classroom. This program was created under BOR No. 357, S. 2017 of the University. The program is in accordance with the Guidelines for the Implementation of Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order No. 75 series of 2017

The Secondary Teaching Department successfully conducted its 2026 Strategic Planning on September 8, anchored on the theme โ€œStrengthening Quality Assurance for Program Accreditation.โ€

The activity focused on developing action plans responsive to the Level II AACCUP recommendations and preparing the department for Level III Accreditation. Faculty members worked in groups based on AACCUP evaluation areas, presenting their outputs and exchanging valuable insights and feedback.

The activity was made possible through the full support of the College Dean, ๐‘ซ๐’“. ๐‘น๐’๐’‰๐’‚๐’๐’Š๐’‡๐’‚ ๐‘ป. ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’Ž๐’‚-๐‘ด๐’‚๐’“๐’๐’‰๐’๐’Ž๐’ƒ๐’”๐’‚๐’“

Incoming college freshmen will usually be asked to choose among three NSTP components: ROTC, CWTS, or LTS.
Each one is a form of service, but they focus on different kinds of training.

NSTP is more than just a college requirement. It is a way for students to learn how service can look different โ€” through defense, community work, or education.
Choose the program that fits your strengths, interests, and the kind of service you want to give.
