A significant leadership transition unfolded yesterday, July 6, 2026, at the Accreditation room, COLLEGE OF SPEAR as the Organization of the College of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Students (OCSPEARS) held its Turnover and Oath-Taking Ceremony. The occasion marked a heartfelt farewell to a dedicated administration while ushering in a fresh wave of student leaders ready to carry the banner forward.
Outgoing Chief Minister La Neiah Alexandra A. Macalam officially passed the reins of leadership, concluding her term with a legacy of unwavering commitment and meaningful service to the student body. Stepping up to the plate is incoming Chief Minister Ronie A. Caminero Jr, who, together with his newly elected officers, took their solemn oath of office, solemnly pledging to lead with honor, serve with compassion, and uphold the values of the institution.
The ceremony reached its most inspiring moment when Dean Dr. Mirian P. Aman delivered a stirring challenge to the new administration. She anchored her message on three essential pillars: maintaining INTEGRITY in every action, practicing TRANSPARENCY in all dealings, and embracing the call to DO FAR AND MORE, pushing beyond expectations to create lasting impact for every student. Dean Aman also reaffirmed her full backing for the team, urging them to mirror her own dedication to the college with the same fire and selflessness.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Asst. Dean Prof. Mechelle M. Layao, Chairperson Dr. Cory Jane R. Palencia of the Department of Professional Studies, Chairperson Prof. Ellen Grace Belga of Service Physical Education, and OCSPEARS Adviser Mr. Vince Canalija, whose collective guidance remains instrumental in shaping the organization's journey.
With the oath taken and the torch passed, the OCSPEARS community looks ahead to a year of bold initiatives, collaborative leadership, and meaningful progress under Chief Minister Ronie A. Caminero Jr. and his team. The road ahead is bright, and the best is yet to come!
