Two Teams Secure Grand Champion and 1st Runner-Up Titles in YLAC Senior High School Pitching Competition 2026 at UPLB 🏆

MSU–MSHS proudly celebrates the success of six ABM students at the Youth Leaders of Agribusiness Congress (YLAC) Senior High School Pitching Competition held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna, on June 5, 2026. Competing on the national stage, Team Pitching Perfect and Team Hawak Mo Ang Wheat secured the Grand Champion and 1st Runner-Up titles, respectively.

YLAC is an annual competition that gathers young students and potential entrepreneurs from different institutions across the country. Out of numerous competitive entries, only a select number of teams advanced to the grand finals.

This serves as a prestigious platform where students present innovative and sustainable business ideas related to agribusiness, entrepreneurship, and community development. Beyond creativity and research, YLAC also promotes critical thinking and addresses agricultural and economic issues.

Alhamdulillah! MSU-Marawi Senior High School proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of the Tribunes Debate League, the official debate club of MSU-Marawi Senior High School, during the 10th Mindanao InterVarsity, March 27-29, 2026 at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, Cagayan de Oro City.

With pride and gratitude, we congratulate our student-debaters, judges, and the entire Tribunes community for once again bringing honor to the institution. The team successfully claimed the Novice Championship title, continuing a three-year streak of excellence in the Marawi debating circuit.

Beyond the Novice category, our student-debaters also proved their caliber by breaking into the Open Category alongside some of the region’s strongest varsity teams.

Acknowledgement is also given to the MSHS Visual Arts Club, the coaches, referees, technical officials, student volunteers, and all individuals behind the successful conduct of the event. Their support and collective effort made the Inter-High School Sports Cup 2026 a meaningful and well-executed celebration of sportsmanship.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | President Atty. Paisalin P. D. Tago, CPA Inter-High School Sports Cup 2026 Concludes with Spirit of Unity and Excellence

President Atty. Paisalin P. D. Tago, CPA Inter-High School Sports Cup 2026, held at MSU-Marawi from May 11 to May 14, 2026, officially concluded after days of intense competition and camaraderie among young athletes from various schools.

Organized by the MSU-Marawi Senior High School Sports Track, headed by Overall Chairman Alibasher H. Azis Esmail and the SPORTS 12 Representative, Mr. Shalman Abdul, in partnership with the MSU CSPEAR Extension Department, this year’s sports cup carried the theme: “Uniting Young Athletes Towards Peace and Prosperity.”

The tournament opened under the leadership of MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, alongside Dr. Minerva-Saminah M. Naga, Vice President and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Rohanie M. Sultan, RGC, Director of MSU-Marawi Senior High School. University officials, faculty members, coaches, and student-athletes also took part in the successful conduct of the event.

Now on its fourth year, the Inter-High School Sports Cup once again proved to be more than just a tournament. It became a platform where young athletes demonstrated discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership while strengthening mutual respect among participating schools.

This year’s Inter-High School’s Sports Cup takes pride in being its first to be named after the University President, Atty. Paisalin PD Tago, CPA. Through the President, all the winners in all categories were awarded cash prizes, from the champions down to the second runners up.

Throughout the event, student-athletes showcased exceptional talent and determination in basketball and volleyball competitions, bringing excitement and pride to their respective schools and supporters. The sports series saw intense rallies in the volleyball and badminton games, and action-packed ball exchanges in the basketball games.

In the end, for the basketball SHS division, Ibn Siena Integrated School (ISISF) emerged victoriously as the champion, bagging the trophy, medals, and a 10,000-peso cash prize. In the JHS basketball division, MSU-University Training Center (UTC) claimed the championship title after an impressive performance throughout the tournament. Meanwhile, MSU-Lanao National College of Arts and Trades (LNCAT) dominated the men’s volleyball division, also taking home the championship title along with a 10,000-peso cash prize.

MSU-Marawi Senior High School (MSHS) also made its mark in the tournament, proudly earning several recognitions across different sports tournaments. The MSHS Women’s Volleyball Team emerged as champions, while Miss Fatmah S. Etado from SPORTS 11 was hailed as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Best Setter for her exceptional skills.

In badminton, the school secured the 2nd Runner-Up title in Women’s Doubles, represented by Ms. Fatmah Alianessah Derogongan from ABM 12 and her partner, Ms. Rina-Jamaica B. Usman from SPORTS 11. The Mixed Doubles team composed of Mr. Amjad Hashem S. Macalipot from HUMSS 11 and Ms. Jhocellie Vian M. Mordeno from STEM 11 proudly claimed the 1st Runner-Up title.
