Philosophy is more than just memorizing the names of dead philosophers or asking questions that seem to have no answers. It is the study of the most fundamental questions about life, knowledge, truth, morality, and reality, and, more importantly, learning how to think about them. On July 27, 2026, the Department of Philosophy gathered not just to celebrate our graduating philosophy majors, but to honor the conversations, friendships, questions, and quiet moments that shaped their journey. As one chapter closes, may the pursuit of wisdom continue beyond the classroom.

The tribute has ended. The quest for wisdom has not.
