Both recognitions went through rigorous national evaluations and highly competitive selection process across the country.

These achievements reflect not only their individual dedication and leadership, but also the strength and potential of our psychology students.

Jun-Najar, a 4th-year Psychology student and four-time president's lister, earned national distinction for embodying the ideals of Dr. Jose Rizal—excellence, service, and integrity. His recognition as one of the top10 finalists during the 63rd National Rizal Youth Leadership Institute in Vigan City highlights his commitment to representing the Bangsamoro youth on meaningful platforms.

while Shri Tahanie, also a 4th-year psychology and consistent chancellor's lister, also emerged as the Top 1 Outstanding Student Leader of the Philippines, given by TRAC last October 2025 in Baguio City. Her leadership journey and exemplary service demonstrate the highest standards of student excellence, inspiring her peers and uplifting our community.

We are deeply honored to call these two remarkable individuals our students. Their success showcases the caliber of MSUans—resilient, service-driven, and capable of shaping positive change within and beyond the University.

To Jun-Najar and Shri: we celebrate you, support you, and stand proud of the legacy you continue to build.

PSYMS TO DPRS: A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE ✨
MSU Alumna Clinches Top Honors at SWARA Con 2025! 🏆

On November 20, 2025, Psychology Majors Society alumna, now a proud DPRS faculty member, Ms. Asnairah R. Disoma brought home 1st Place for Best Paper and the Breakthrough Research Award from the BARMM–Ministry of Social Services and Development during the Social Welfare Annual Research Advancement (SWARA) Convention 2025.

Her award-winning study, “Sindaw o Pamilya: Lived Experiences of Meranaw Mothers of Children Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Lanao del Sur,” received top recognition for its cultural depth, strong advocacy, and meaningful contribution to Meranaw families.

Held at the KCC Convention Center in Cotabato City, the SWARA Convention gathers research works across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, evaluating their significance to the Tri-people community. Selected out of 54 entries, with only 10 finalists advancing to the panel defense, Ms. Disoma excelled in the student category, commended for analytical rigor and for amplifying the voices and resilience of Meranaw mothers.

This impactful study was originally completed as her undergraduate thesis at MSU–Main Campus, under the mentorship of Prof. Nor-ain M. H. Esmail, and was previously showcased at the 2023 Convention of the Psychological Association of the Philippines.

Ang DPRS Faculty ay matagumpay na lumahok sa Ika-49 Pambansang Kumperensiya sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino at Ikatlong Pambansang Kumperensiya sa Ginhawa na ginanap sa UP Diliman noong Nobyembre 27–29, 2025 — itinataguyod ang adhikaing Sikolohiyang Malaya at Mapagpalaya, Lipunang Maginhawa at Mapagkalinga.

Isang malaking pagbati kay Prof. Sahara Iman M. Alonto sa kaniyang natatanging presentasyon ng papel na pinamagatang “Religiousness and Mental Health Among Filipino Muslims: The Role of Gratitude as a Mediator.” 👏
