We are incredibly grateful to everyone who lent a hand, shared their time and energy, and embodied true bayanihan spirit. PBASS Bayanihan (1st semester)

Let’s gather together and practice the true spirit of bayanihan! Join us this Thursday, August 27, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Cluster Extension as we work hand in hand to clean and improve our shared spaces.

Attendance is required for all Agronomy and Plant Breeding students. Please adhere to your assigned schedule, as failure to attend will result in a fine. For any concerns or clarifications, please coordinate directly with your respective year-level representatives.

The Plant Breeding and Agronomy Student Society (PBASS) is now seeking passionate and dedicated students to join our committees for the Academic Year 2026-2027! This is your chance to develop your leadership skills, contribute to the student body, and be an active part of the PBASS family.

SECRETARIAT COMMITTEE – Prepare minutes, keep records, and handle official documentation.

FINANCE COMMITTEE – Manage funds, prepare reports, and assist the treasurer.

CREATIVES & MEDIA COMMITTEE – Design pubs, handle photography/videography, and manage social media.

WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE – Organize logistics for events, manage food preparation or distribution, and ensure cleanliness.

In light of recent violent safety incidents in and around our area, the Plant Breeding and Agronomy Student Society prioritizes the security and well-being of every member above all else. While local authorities and campus security address these developments, we must exercise extreme vigilance and look out for one another.
Immediate Action Steps & Security Guidelines

Implement the Buddy System: Never walk alone, especially during late hours, along quiet campus paths, or around perimeter boarding houses. Always travel in pairs or groups.

Inform Your Peers: Keep a trusted classmate or officer updated on your location and expected arrival times when moving between classes, laboratories, or field sites.

Stay Environmentally Aware: Avoid wearing headphones at high volume or using your phone while walking in dim or isolated areas. Keep your full attention on your surroundings.

Report Suspicious Behavior: Immediately alert campus guards, local barangay officials, or police if you observe any unusual

Dear PBASS Family

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that the mother of our fellow student member Edrian Bacong (Agronomy), has passed away.
Beyond the emotional heartbreak, the family is now facing heavy, sudden financial burdens including memorial and funeral expenses.

We are coming together as a community to wrap our arms around and lift some of this weight off their shoulders. Any amount no matter how small will make a difference and show them they are not alone in this dark time.

During the gathering, we proudly highlighted the milestones and accomplishments of the previous administration while outlining an exciting lineup of events, projects, and goals for the current term.

Day of Welcome 2026

The Plant Breeding and Agronomy Student Society proudly participated in the 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, one of the highlights of the academic year, held last Monday August 3, 2026, at the College of Agriculture Grounds.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to welcome incoming students, introduce them to our organization's mission and activities, and encourage them to become part of a community dedicated to academic excellence, leadership, and innovation in agriculture. We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and look forward to growing together throughout the academic year. 🌱💚

The Plant Breeding and Agronomy Student Society under the Department of Agronomy and Plant Breeding will be having its 1st General Assembly for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2026-2027. Aimed to give informed knowledge about the events and activities that the student society will be having for the current academic year.
