CMU has implemented an interim administrative reorganization and realignment of selected University offices to strengthen organizational efficiency, institutional coordination, and effective supervision. The initiative forms part of the University’s continuing efforts to streamline administrative operations and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of services while awaiting the finalization and approval of the revised University Code.

Under the new arrangement, the Office of the University President retains administrative supervision over the University Board Secretary, Office of Internal Audit Services, Office of the University Legal Counsel, Office of the University Housing and Relocation Committee, and Office of Project Implementing and Monitoring. Meanwhile, the Office of Alumni Relations and Linkages is placed under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The Office of the Vice President for Administration assumes administrative supervision over the Office of Public Relations and Information, Office of Environment and Safety Management, Office of Brand Management, and DXMU FM. The University Center for Gender and Development, on the other hand, is placed under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension.

The realignment takes effect immediately, with concerned offices directed to coordinate with their respective supervising executive offices to ensure an orderly transition. The arrangement remains temporary and does not alter the existing mandates, functions, and responsibilities of the concerned offices.

Through this initiative, CMU reinforces its commitment to responsive leadership, organizational coherence, and efficient University governance, ensuring that its administrative structures remain aligned with institutional priorities and the evolving needs of the University community.

Central Mindanao University (CMU), led by University President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe, together with Vice President for Administration Prof. Hermie P. Pava and Central Mindanao University Faculty Association, Inc. (CMUFAI) President Engr. Neil Francis P. Daquiado, met with Congresswoman Audrey Kay T. Zubiri and Municipality of Maramag Vice Mayor John Lester T. Tan to discuss the University’s institutional priorities, development plans, and opportunities for stronger government collaboration.

The meeting highlighted CMU’s continuing efforts to address key institutional concerns, strengthen academic and administrative capacities, secure support for priority infrastructure and development projects, and advance initiatives aligned with the University’s long-term strategic direction. Congresswoman Zubiri expressed a positive response to the proposals and openness to further collaboration in support of the University’s development agenda.

CMU also expressed its sincere appreciation to Congresswoman Audrey Kay T. Zubiri and Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri for their continued support of the University’s vision, programs, and initiatives. The engagement was made more meaningful as the CMU delegation extended warm birthday greetings to Congresswoman Zubiri, reflecting the spirit of goodwill and partnership.

Through sustained collaboration with government leaders and development partners, CMU remains committed to strengthening institutional growth, improving services, and creating greater opportunities for its students, faculty, personnel, and the communities it serves.

Another Research Milestone for CMU! Central Mindanao University (CMU) celebrates another research milestone, recording 100 Scopus-indexed publications for 2025 and 102 for 2026, according to the latest update from GHF University Excellence. This achievement strengthens CMU’s research profile and brings the University closer to meeting the publication requirements for consideration in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

We congratulate the University’s Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) and academic sectors, particularly Research Director Dr. Jupiter Casas, Vice President Alan Dargantes, and Vice President Jose Valmorida, for their dedication and contributions.

We also extend our appreciation to CMU faculty researchers, staff, students, and research co-authors, whose dedication, collaboration, and scholarly contributions made these research milestones possible.

We express our gratitude to GHF University Excellence for the update and recognized the efforts of CMU researchers, noting that the University’s 2026 publications were largely produced by CMU’s own faculty and researchers.

Gidawat ni CMU President Rolito G. Eballe, Ph.D., ug Congresswoman Audrey T. Zubiri ang pasilidad karong adlawa, Oktubre 15, 2026. Gipondohan kini sa nasudnong pangagamhanan pinaagi sa pagpaningkamot ni Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, kapikas sa kongresista, aron mapalig-on ang suporta sa sektor sa agrikultura.

Gilauman nga magsilbi kini isip learning center dili lamang alang sa mga estudyante ug researchers sa unibersidad, kundili alang usab sa mga mag-uuma nga gustong makakat-on sa bag-ong mga pamaagi ug teknolohiya sa pagpanguma.

Pinaagi niini, gilauman nga mas mapalambo pa ang kahibalo ug kahanas sa mga mag-uuma, mapalig-on ang produksyon sa agrikultura, ug makatampo sa malungtarong paglambo sa ekonomiya sa probinsya ugma damlag.

𝐎𝐧 𝐂𝐌𝐔’𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Central Mindanao University (CMU) informs its stakeholders and the public that it will participate in the Joint Coordination Meeting and the field validation activities of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) concerning certain landholdings of the University scheduled on 06–09 October 2026. The University’s participation is undertaken in the interest of orderly and constructive inter-agency coordination.

CMU emphasizes, however, that its participation is strictly without prejudice to the Motion for Reconsideration filed on its behalf by the Office of the Solicitor General on 18 September 2026, concerning the Order dated 28 May 2026 of the Secretary of Agrarian Reform, as well as to all other legal, administrative, and judicial remedies available to the University.

The presence of CMU representatives during the field validation shall not be construed as consent, conformity, or acquiescence to the coverage, segregation, acquisition, transfer, or distribution of any portion of the University’s landholdings. Neither shall it constitute an admission that the subject properties are coverable government-owned lands under Executive Order No. 75, Series of 2019, nor a waiver or abandonment of CMU’s existing legal position and rights.

CMU representatives shall participate solely for purposes of observation, documentation, coordination, verification of factual matters, and protection of the interests of the University. Their participation does not authorize them to make any admission, waiver, consent, stipulation, or representation inconsistent with the University’s reservation of rights.

The University maintains that the legal character and disposition of its landholdings must be determined in accordance with applicable laws, proclamations, titles, judicial decisions, and other governing issuances. CMU likewise underscores that the conduct of the field validation is part of an administrative process and does not prejudge the pending Motion for Reconsideration nor constitute a final determination that the subject properties are available for transfer and distribution.

Central Mindanao University remains committed to lawful and constructive engagement with concerned government agencies. At the same time, the University will continue to faithfully protect its lands, institutional interests, and legal rights entrusted to it under law.
