A non-government organization lead by veterinary student leaders across the Philippines. "The National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS) is an initiative to gather veterinary students studying in both private and state universities from across the Philippines. The Congress aims to provide a venue for veterinary student leaders to communicate and unite in honor of the veterinary profession, to acquire and share knowledge among veterinary students, to develop the potential of its members, to promote camaraderie and good ties among future colleagues, and to create a network of earnest future veterinarians for upholding the veterinary profession. It will also be a way of reforming the social meaning of the veterinary profession as it continually faces challenges in education, research, career paths and over- all positive recognition in the country."

Throughout history, men and women have defended the nation through courage, service, and sacrifice. But people aren't the only heroes โ€” animals of all kinds have also answered the call of duty.

Just like ๐Š๐š๐›๐š๐ง๐ , a ๐’‰๐’†๐’“๐’๐’Š๐’„ ๐‘ท๐’‰๐’Š๐’๐’Š๐’‘๐’‘๐’Š๐’๐’† ๐‘จ๐’”๐’‘๐’Š๐’ who famously saved two young girls by leaping in front of a speeding motorcycle. The impact completely sheared off her upper snout and jaw, sparking a massive global fundraising campaign for her reconstructive surgeries in the United States. Her incredible survival story made international headlines and earned her deep admiration from National Geographic icon Cesar Millan before her peaceful passing in 2021.

Though she may not be on the list of the National Heroes, she is definitely a hero in the hearts of the people she saved and in the hearts of countless others who heard her story.
