Four (4) faculty researchers participated in the activity, which showcased the strengths and capabilities of CMU-CNPRDE in mentoring other SUCs through hands-on training and advanced laboratory analyses in natural products research.

The ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ข๐  visited the Center for Natural Products Research, Development and Extension (CNPRDE) at Central Mindanao University as part of the CMU Tourism Package Tour last October 9, 2025.

This benchmarking activity highlighted the Cityโ€™s strong commitment to advancing its research and development initiatives, fostering collaboration, and gaining insights into CNPRDEโ€™s ongoing innovations in natural products research.

The tour and discussions were facilitated by Prof. Analyn G. Gultiano, CNPRDE SLU Head, and Mr. Regiez Novem P. Idulsa, CNPRDE Chemical Technician, on behalf of Dr. Aileen May G. Ang, CNPRDE Director.

Together, we continue to strengthen partnerships between local government units and academic research institutions toward sustainable innovation and development.

The 5-day program combined in-depth lectures and hands-on practical sessions, equipping participants with the essential skills to analyze bioactive compounds and evaluate the antioxidant properties of natural products.
