At 3:00 PM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all avilable data at 520 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.6°N 129.4°E). It is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan. Northeasterly Windflow affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon.
𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧:
The Province of BUKIDNON including the City of Malaybalay, the City of Valencia, and nearby areas will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗭). Light to moderate winds coming from Northwest to Southwest direction will prevail. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Day 4: Action-Packed Safety & Rescue Training & NSED Participation!

Day 4 of our 5-Day Community First Responder (CFR) Training September 10, 2026 pushed our participants into high-gear with intense, real-world emergency response scenarios!

Responders geared up to master Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) - Light Search, followed by fast-paced return demonstrations to test their speed, accuracy, and operational readiness. Participants also put out the heat with hands-on Basic Firefighting, sharpening their skills in Bucket Relay operations and proper Fire Extinguishment techniques.

Right at 2:00 in the afternoon, everything came to a brief halt as all participants, instructors, and personnel participated in the 3rd Quarter NSED led by the PDRRMO facilitators! Everyone executed the proper Duck, Cover, and Hold, conducted a swift headcount to ensure 100% accountability, and once everyone was cleared and accounted for, training resumed full steam ahead.

We also express our appreciation to our MDRRMO-Maramag personnel who tirelessly provided support from Day 1 to Day 4. Even amidst exhaustion, your commitment to assisting and guiding our BDRRMC personnel without hesitation.

Day 3: Hands-On Action at Waig Spring Resort!

Day 3 of our 5-Day Community First Responder (CFR) Training last September 9, 2026, was super intense! Our participants headed out to Waig Spring Resort for some serious hands-on rescue operations and practical skill-building!

The entire focus was on mastering core rescue disciplines specifically Water Skills, Knot Tying, Anchoring, and Rappelling. Every participant proved their capabilities during rigorous, high-standard return demonstrations to ensure zero mistakes on the ground!

Daghang kaayong salamat to our top-tier instructors and evaluators who brought their absolute A-game to coach, test, and guide our participants:

Day 2: Hands-On Saving Lives!

We successfully wrapped up Day 2 of our 5-Day Community First Responder (CFR) Training, September 8, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium!

Last Tuesday was all about intense, practical life-saving skills. Our 95 participants from the 19 barangays dived headfirst into hands-on training and return demonstrations to ensure they are ready when real-life emergencies strike:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills Demonstration & Return Demonstration
• Standard First Aid (SFA) Skills Demonstration with Return Demonstration

Day 1: Building a Stronger, More Resilient Community!

Officially kicked off Day 1 of the 5-Day Community First Responder (CFR) Training last monday, September 7, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium!

The program commenced with an inspirational welcoming remark from our Emergency Operations Head, Mr. Alejandro M. Navarro, LPT, MGA, setting the tone for an intensive week of learning and capacity building. This was followed by the introduction of our 7 esteemed resource persons and instructors from PDRRMO - Bukidnon.

19 barangays actively participated, each sending 5 dedicated representatives demonstrating their strong commitment and active support to strengthen our local emergency response capabilities!

Together with the rest of the 7 expert instructors from PDRRMO-Bukidnon, our participants were guided through fundamental disaster preparedness topics on Day 1:

• Overview of Community First Responder (CFR)
• Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System (PDRRMS)
• Resource Management
• Incident Command System (ICS)
• Community-Based Information and Reporting

This activity is conducted to strengthen our preparedness and response capabilities during an earthquake.

Reminders:
During the drill, everyone is encouraged to participate in the DUCK, COVER, AND HOLD procedure and follow the instructions of the designated safety officers.
