Did you know? Walking regularly has been shown to have numerous health benefits, including reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.

National Walking Day is a special day that happens every year on the first Wednesday in April. It was started by the American Heart Association to encourage people to walk and improve their health. Walking is a simple and effective form of exercise that can benefit people of all ages and fitness levels. It helps with cardiovascular health, managing weight, and overall well-being.

On National Walking Day, people come together to walk as a group, participate in community events, and promote walking at work. It's a fun way to build a sense of community and support each other in living healthier lives. National Walking Day also raises awareness about pedestrian safety and the importance of creating walkable communities. This aligns with efforts to improve public health, reduce traffic, and protect the environment by encouraging walking instead of driving.

Did you know? That World Teen Mental Wellness Day was first observed in 2020? It was established to raise awareness about mental health issues among teenagers and promote strategies for improving their mental well-being.

Did you also know? That Seeking help for mental health issues is not a sign of weakness? In fact, it takes courage and strength to recognize when you need support and to reach out for help. Just as we seek medical help for physical ailments, it is equally important to seek professional help for mental health concerns. Mental health issues are common and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. They are real medical conditions that deserve attention and care.

World Teen Mental Wellness Day serves as a platform for education and advocacy regarding teenage mental health issues. It aims to break down stigma surrounding mental illness and provide resources and information to teenagers, parents, educators, and healthcare professionals.

We, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of (School), will help raise awareness about the mental health disorders faced by teenagers and the stigma associated with them. We also aim to create a safe space for teenagers to communicate their emotions without fear of judgment and to seek professional help when needed.

Apan importante nga mahibal-an nimo nga sila molabay ra.

Kamusta Ka? Okay Raka? Bug-at Imong Pamati? Feeling nimo wakay maduolan? Daghan kag problema?

Ayaw paghimo ug desisyon karon.

Did you know that World Thinking Day was first established in 1926 during the 4th World Conference of the Girl Guide/Girl Scout Movement held in the United States?

The date, February 22nd, was chosen in honor of the birthday of both Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Boy Scouts, and his wife Olave Baden-Powell, who was the World Chief Guide. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world celebrate World Thinking Day through various activities, including community service projects, cultural exchange programs, educational events, and fundraising initiatives for global causes.

Each year, World Thinking Day has a different theme that focuses on global issues, advocacy, or relevant topics for girls and young women. These themes often revolve around topics such as environmental sustainability, gender equality, education, and peace.

World Thinking Day has embraced digital platforms such as virtual events, online discussions, and social media campaigns, which have become integral parts of the celebration. These platforms allow participants to engage with each other regardless of geographical boundaries.

We, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of (School), pledge our support for World Thinking Day. This day serves as a meaningful occasion for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts worldwide to celebrate their shared values, promote understanding and friendship across cultures, and make a positive difference in the world.
