Teachers and students of Guinsang-an National High School actively participated in the Panapat Bamboo Growing Activity, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

The activity brought together members of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization (YES-O), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) officers, and Grade 12 students. Adding to the spirit of collaboration, YES-O officers from Sto. Niรฑo National High School also joined the initiative.

This meaningful environmental activity was made possible through the partnership of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sto. Niรฑo, and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Guinsang-an, highlighting the shared commitment of government agencies and educational institutions to promote environmental stewardship.

The event became even more significant with the presence of Municipal Mayor Sulpicio F. Villalobos, whose support and encouragement inspired the participants to continue taking an active role in protecting and preserving the environment.

Through the collective efforts of students, teachers, local officials, and partner agencies, the Panapat Bamboo Growing Activity served as a powerful reminder that working together can create a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for the community.

Mayor Sulpicio F. Villalobos has declared the SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES at all levels โ€” both public and private โ€” within the Municipality of Sto. Niรฑo TODAY, June 8, 2026, following the strong earthquake and the possibility of aftershocks, to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners, teaching personnel, and school staff.

All government offices are likewise suspended, while operations of private offices shall be subject to the discretion of their respective management or office heads.

An Executive Order will be issued accordingly.

The spirit of volunteerism and community partnership was evident during Brigada Eskwela 2026 as ๐‡๐จ๐ง. ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐จ ๐…. ๐•๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐›๐จ๐ฌ Municipal Mayor of Sto. Niรฑo, actively participated in the school improvement program at GNHS. Joining him was the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by ๐’๐ข๐ซ ๐€๐ง๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฐ ๐. ๐‡๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ.

As part of their support, they donated cleaning materials to help prepare the school for the opening of classes. Their generous contribution will greatly assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

The GNHS community expressed its sincere gratitude for the kindness and unwavering support shown by the local government and the MDRRMO. Their participation in Brigada Eskwela highlights the importance of collaboration in promoting quality education and community development.
