The Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID) announces the Call for Expression of Interest for Patriotic Research for 2026 and 2027. Interested faculty members and researchers are invited to submit research proposals aligned with the institution’s Research and Development (R&D) Agenda and Programs.

𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙚?
Research teams may be composed of NBSC teaching and non-teaching employees, whether regular or JO/COS. Each research team must have at least one (1) member and at most seven (7) members.

𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨
No research fund will be requested under this call. However, approved and qualified research teams may avail themselves of applicable institutional benefits and incentives, including Research Dissemination Support and Publication Incentive.

All proposed research must:

The Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly congratulates Alven L. Gomez, MSEST, Leah Mae S. Cuyno, M.Sc., and Melven I. Valmoria, M.Sc., for the acceptance of their research abstract for presentation at the 2nd International Conference on UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and Social Innovation (ICUNSSI 2026). Their accepted study is titled “Decentralized Rainwater Harvesting in a Highland Philippine Municipality: A Socio-Technical Assessment of Utilization, Reliability, and Adoption Readiness.”

The study examines the potential of rainwater harvesting systems in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, assessing community utilization, system reliability, and readiness for adoption. The research highlights the importance of sustainable water solutions amid growing water security and climate-related challenges, while emphasizing the role of community knowledge, appropriate technology, and local support in promoting sustainable practices.

ICUNSSI 2026, themed “Transforming Ideas into Impact: Achieving SDGs as Pathways to a Resilient World,” will be held on September 24–25, 2026, in Iligan City, Philippines. The conference serves as a platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and innovators to share research and develop solutions aligned with the UN SDGs.

This achievement reflects NBSC’s continuing commitment to research that addresses real-world challenges and contributes to sustainable and resilient communities.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly congratulates Alven L. Gomez, MSEST, Director of the Community Extension Services Division, for the acceptance of his research abstract for oral paper presentation at the 4th International Multidisciplinary Research-Based Extension Conference (IMREC 2026).

Under the thematic area of Social Empowerment, his study titled “Infrastructure as a Peace Dividend: Assessing Client Satisfaction in the 52nd Engineer Brigade Operations in a Post-Conflict Community” highlights the role of research in understanding community needs and strengthening peace and development initiatives.

IMREC 2026 will be held on November 18–20, 2026, in Davao City, Philippines, bringing together researchers and extension practitioners to exchange knowledge, innovation, and best practices. NBSC celebrates this achievement and commends Mr. Gomez for representing the College in the international research and extension community.

The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology Region X (DOST-X), conducted the Mandatory Eight-Hour Safety and Health Seminar for Workers on August 24, 2026, at the Flowing Grain Learning Center, Purok 4, Batingtingan, Barangay Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The activity was conducted under the project “Utilization of DOST-FPRDI Technology in the Establishment of an Engineered Bamboo Processing Facility in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon,” with the Natural Green Association (NGA) as the identified beneficiary.

The seminar featured Engr. Arthur B. Quiblat and Engr. Vergelio Lopez Masalta as resource speakers, who discussed essential Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment, safety measures, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety requirements.

The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and preparedness in promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace, thereby supporting the project’s goal of strengthening the capacity of NGA members through relevant technical and organizational capability-building activities.

[𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐆𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍] Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) congratulates Ms. Charry Mae C. Grepon, MAEd, a faculty member of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE), on her appointment as an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).

Her appointment follows the approval of her application by the NRCP Governing Board, recognizing her involvement in the research community and extending NBSC’s representation within the national research sector.
