The Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID) has been named a finalist in two categories of the 2026 PRAISE AWARDS 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 and 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗽 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. This distinction places RDID among the College offices recognized for their commitment to excellence, effective service, and responsible stewardship in advancing institutional goals.

Being named a finalist reflects RDID’s sustained efforts to foster a culture of research, development, innovation, and continuous improvement within the College. More than a recognition of office performance, this milestone highlights the collective dedication of its personnel in strengthening research initiatives, supporting innovation, and delivering services that contribute meaningfully to NBSC’s institutional development.

RDID celebrates this achievement as a testament to the teamwork, professionalism, and purpose that drive its work. As the 2026 PRAISE Awards continue to recognize outstanding offices and personnel across NBSC, RDID remains committed to excellence in service and innovation, carrying forward its mandate with greater resolve and pride.

𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) advanced its preparations for the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Program Level 2 Accreditation through a strategic meeting for Area 5 – Research. The meeting provided a venue for concerned personnel to assess the current state of preparations, coordinate priorities, and strengthen the Division’s readiness for the accreditation process.

The strategic meeting focused on reviewing the progress of accreditation preparations, assessing the completeness and organization of supporting evidence, and identifying areas requiring further action. Discussions also centered on aligning ongoing initiatives and resources with accreditation requirements, ensuring that necessary measures are systematically addressed and that the Research area is prepared for evaluation.

Through this strategic engagement, RDID reinforced its commitment to a systematic, coordinated, and evidence-based approach to accreditation preparation. The meeting strengthened internal coordination and provided direction for succeeding activities, contributing to the continuous enhancement of NBSC’s research systems, processes, and institutional capacity.

𝗡𝗕𝗦𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

Project leaders and designated representatives of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) convened for an Institutional Project Progress Meeting on September 24, 2026, at the Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID) Office, Room 105, SWDC Building. The meeting provided a venue for project teams to review the implementation status of the College’s ongoing institutional projects and discuss key concerns affecting their progress and delivery.

The discussion focused on project status, budget utilization, catch-up plans, usage of the Indigenous Culture and Creative Innovation Hub, and project deliverables. Project leaders and representatives reviewed accomplishments against planned activities, examined the utilization of project resources, identified areas requiring follow-through, and discussed appropriate measures to address implementation gaps and keep projects aligned with their intended targets and timelines.

The meeting strengthened coordination among project teams and provided a mechanism for sustained monitoring of institutional initiatives. Through collaborative progress assessment and responsive planning, the project leaders and representatives reaffirmed their commitment to the timely implementation and delivery of projects that contribute to NBSC’s institutional research, development, and innovation priorities.

𝗡𝗕𝗦𝗖-𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) celebrates the research achievement of its Institute of Computer Studies (ICS) alumni following the acceptance of the research paper “Enhancing Agrarian Land Management Through GIS-Integrated Record Visualization” for presentation at the ICUNSSI 2026: The 2nd International Conference on UN SDGs and Social Innovation. The research is authored by Jam Piodos, Joash Rautraut, Rey Sinabianan, and Lovelaine Joy Tasic, all alumni of the ICS, with Cliff Amadeus Evangelio, faculty member of ICS-NBSC and their research adviser, serving as co-author.

The study presents the development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) for agrarian land management at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The system transforms existing land records and survey plans into digital, map-based parcel visualizations linked to landowner and beneficiary information. It aims to enhance parcel visualization, boundary verification, data retrieval, and land record management through open-source web mapping and EXIF metadata. The submitted abstract was accepted under the conference track “Technology, AI & Digital Transformation for SDGs,” recognizing its relevance to the use of technology and digital innovation in addressing sustainable development concerns.

The research will be presented during ICUNSSI 2026: The 2nd International Conference on UN SDGs and Social Innovation, scheduled on September 24–25, 2026, at Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology. The conference provides an international platform for researchers and professionals to share innovative research and explore solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. NBSC-RDID and the Institute of Computing Studies extend their congratulations to Jam Piodos, Joash Rautraut, Rey Sinabianan, and Lovelaine Joy Tasic, together with their faculty adviser and co-author Cliff Amadeus Evangelio, for this achievement and for representing the research capabilities of NBSC alumni and faculty in the international academic community.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) celebrates the research achievement of faculty member Charry Mae C. Grepon, MA, of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE), following the acceptance of her research paper “𝘛𝘌𝘗-𝘚𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘛 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱: 𝘈 𝘔𝘪𝘹𝘦𝘥-𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘥𝘴 𝘌𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬-𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘳𝘦-𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴” for oral presentation at the National Research Conference on Teacher Education (NRCTE 2026). The paper was officially accepted on September 22, 2026, and will be presented as part of the conference’s program.

The study evaluates a framework-based mentoring program for pre-service teachers using a mixed-methods approach. The acceptance of the research provides an avenue for Ms. Grepon to share her scholarly work and contribute to discussions on teacher education, research, and educational practice. NRCTE 2026 serves as a national academic platform for educators, researchers, school leaders, teacher education professionals, and graduate students to present research, innovations, and scholarly work that advance teacher quality.

The research will be presented during NRCTE 2026, scheduled on October 22–23, 2026, at Pampanga State University in Bacolor, Pampanga. The conference will feature oral research presentations and discussions on teacher education and related scholarly works. As an oral presenter, Grepon will be allotted 10 minutes for her presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. NBSC-RDID extends its congratulations to Ms. Charry Mae C. Grepon, MA, for this achievement and for contributing to the College’s continuing research efforts and scholarly engagement.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) celebrates the research achievement of faculty member Jonel C. Murillo of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE) following the acceptance of the research paper “𝙈𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞-𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝘿𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙧𝙪𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙄𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙙 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨” for presentation at the International Conference on Methodological Advances in Research (ICMAR) 2026. The paper was officially accepted on September 18, 2026, and is authored by researchers from NBSC.

The study, co-authored by Jovelyn G. Delosa, PhD, Christine C. Royo, PhD, Jo Agustine G. Corpuz, RGC, Helen B. Ajon, MA, and Kim-Lee B. Domingo, MS, focuses on developing a differentiated assessment framework grounded in multi-perspective practices to support resilient and sustainable learning in challenging contexts. The acceptance recognizes the research team’s work and provides an avenue for them to share their findings with researchers and educators from various institutions.

The paper will be presented during ICMAR 2026, themed “Advancing Research Excellence through Methodological Innovation,” on October 13–15, 2026, at Agusan del Sur State University, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. The conference brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge on research methodologies and innovations. NBSC-RDID extends its congratulations to Mr. Murillo and his co-researchers for this achievement and for contributing to the College’s growing body of research outputs.

The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) Institute for Computer Studies (ICS) celebrates the achievement of its team for securing a spot among the Top 10 Finalists of the NextGen Agri Hackathon: Solving Tomorrow’s Agri-Food Challenges Today through their project “𝘚𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘱-𝘈𝘯𝘪: 𝘞𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦-𝘵𝘰-𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘌𝘹𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦.” The team’s participation is part of the UPLB Innovation Week 2026, scheduled on September 23–25, 2026, at the UPLB Science and Technology (S&T) Park. The three-day event carries the theme “Harnessing Horizons: Philippine Innovations for Climate-Resilient and Inclusive Agri-Food Systems.”

The NBSC-ICS team is composed of 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗠. 𝗢𝗿𝗼𝘇𝗰𝗼, 𝗠𝗜𝗧, 𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿; 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧. 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗟. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗲𝘃𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗝. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗟. 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.Their project, Sagip-Ani: Waste-to-Worth Exchange, successfully passed the hackathon's evaluation stage, earning a place among the Top 10 finalists. The achievement provides the team with an opportunity to further develop and present their innovative idea during the succeeding stage of the competition.

The team is set to pitch “Sagip-Ani: Waste-to-Worth Exchange” live and onsite on September 25, 2026, at the UPLB S&T Park. Their advancement highlights the innovative and entrepreneurial potential of NBSC-ICS students to develop technology-driven solutions that address challenges in the agri-food sector.
