[๐‰๐”๐’๐“ ๐๐Ž๐–] NBSC Personnel Take Part in Luntiang Pook Clean-Up Drive

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) personnel took part in the Luntiang Pook Clean-Up Drive in the early morning of September 28, 2026, covering the campus and its vicinity. The activity was conducted as part of the month-long celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA).

The activity began with an orientation led by Mr. Joshua Licuanan of the General Services Office, after which the personnel were deployed to their respective Assigned Areas of Responsibility (AORs). The clean-up covered areas within the campus, the access road leading to NBSC, and extended to the main highway in Kihare, Manolo Fortich.

Through the activity, NBSC personnel demonstrated the spirit of volunteerism and public service that the PCSA celebration seeks to promote. The Collegeโ€™s participation in the clean-up drive also reflects its continuing commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while working together with the community in support of shared public service goals.

The Sustainable Learning and Linkage to Isolated Places (SULโ‚‚IP) project of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) extension program, led by Noraisah U. Radaza, MA, with the significant support of Dave G. Laga, MA and Rolyn Z. Baquial, MA, successfully conducted its 1st Quarter Instructional Materials (IM) Making Activity on September 24, 2026.

The activity was supported by SULโ‚‚IP proponents Dulce Amor S. Loquias, PhD; Helen B. Ajon, MA; Anna Marie D. Genita, PhD; Jovenel B. Dadulla, MA; Mary Cris J. Go, PhD; Christine C. Royo, PhD, and Mary Ann Charmaine O. Tapulayan-Dumana, MA; who guided the second- and third-year BECED pre-service teachers in crafting their assigned instructional materials.

Held at the 2nd Floor Lobby of the SWDC-NBSC, the activity provided pre-service teachers with hands-on experience in developing age-appropriate and learner-centered instructional resources for young children.

The instructional materials produced will be used by ECE learners in partner Child Development Centers (CDCs) in Minsuro, Mantibugao, and Lunocan, directly connecting the students' classroom learning with the educational needs of partner communities.
The activity was also supported by the Community Extension Services Division (CESD), led by Alven L. Gomez, MS EST, CESD Director, together with Elton Jun Gantalao and Clarie Ann M. Cardente, Extension Staff.

Through SULโ‚‚IP, ITE-BECED continues to provide meaningful opportunities for future educators to learn, create, and serve, strengthening the link between teacher preparation and community development.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) strengthened its commitment to peace education and regional cooperation as Mr. Alven L. Gomez, Designate Director of the Community Extension Services Division (CESD), represented the College at the ASEAN Peace Education High-Level Conference held from September 21โ€“24, 2026, at The Grand Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City.

Carrying the theme "Peace Education for Shared Futures and Enduring Cooperation," the conference brought together education leaders, policymakers, peace practitioners, youth representatives, Indigenous Peoplesโ€™ advocates, and other stakeholders from across the ASEAN region to advance peace education and foster greater understanding and cooperation.

The conference featured high-level discussions on peace education across ASEAN Member States, foundational learning, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, Indigenous conflict-resolution practices, emerging threats and social polarization, and the role of youth as catalysts for peace.

Mr. Gomezโ€™s participation provided NBSC with an opportunity to gain insights and learn from practices and approaches in peace education that may be integrated into the Collegeโ€™s community extension, peace education, and community engagement initiatives. These learnings may contribute to NBSCโ€™s efforts to support inclusive, resilient, and peaceful communities, particularly through programs that promote dialogue, understanding, and community participation.

The College extends its sincere appreciation to NBSC College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, for the support that made the Collegeโ€™s participation in this significant regional conference possible. Such institutional support underscores NBSCโ€™s commitment to expanding its engagement beyond the campus and contributing to broader efforts toward peace, understanding, cooperation, and sustainable community development.

NBSC looks forward to translating relevant insights and learnings from the conference into meaningful initiatives that can further enrich its programs and strengthen its engagement with the communities it serves.

[๐‘๐„๐‚๐€๐] NBSC Joins LGU Manolo Fortich Clean-Up Drive

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) joined the Clean-Up Drive organized by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich, in coordination with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), on September 25, 2026.

The NBSC delegation comprised personnel from various offices and units of the College, demonstrating a collective commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. The College's participation reflects its continued support for initiatives that promote proper waste management, environmental responsibility, and a clean and healthy community.

The activity was fully supported by NBSC College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, whose support enabled the Collegeโ€™s participation in the municipality-wide environmental initiative.

The waste collected during the activity was documented using the municipalityโ€™s Waste Recovery Data Form, supporting the systematic recording of recovered waste and contributing to the Trash-Free Manolo Fortich campaign.

Through its participation, NBSC continues to support the LGU of Manolo Fortich and other community partners in promoting environmental responsibility and building cleaner, greener, and more sustainable communities.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) joins the nationwide observance of โ€œKainang Pamilya Mahalagaโ€ Day on September 28, 2026, celebrating the Filipino family and the simple tradition of sharing a meal at home. The occasion forms part of the 34th National Family Week, with the 2026 celebration covered by Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026 which provides for shortened government work hours starting at 1 p.m.

In line with the occasion, NBSC has issued Memorandum No. 09-161, โ€œParticipation to the โ€˜Kainang Pamilya Mahalagaโ€™ Day, Blood Letting Activity, and Luntiang Pookโ€.

For many families, togetherness does not need a special occasion or a grand plan. It can be as simple as sitting down for a meal and having time to talk after a busy day. NBSC encourages its community to make room for family and enjoy the quiet moments that make coming home feel special.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) reminds all employees about the upcoming ๐‹๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ง๐  ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ on September 28, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

All offices, divisions, and units have been divided into four groups, with each group assigned to a specific Area of Responsibility (AOR) within the campus and its vicinity.

Participants are encouraged to read Memorandum No. 09-161, โ€œParticipation to the โ€˜Kainang Pamilya Mahalagaโ€™ Day, Blood Letting Activity, and Luntiang Pook,โ€ and check their assigned AOR ahead of the activity to know where they are expected to participate.

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) Constructorsโ€™ Performance Evaluation System (CPES) Team conducted a benchmarking activity at Caraga State University (CSU) in Butuan City on September 17, 2026, to gain insights into the universityโ€™s established practices, institutional processes, and implementation mechanisms for CPES.

The NBSC delegation was composed of Benzar Glen S. Grepon, MIT, Supervising Administrative Officer and CPES Chairperson; Engr. Eleonor L. Navales; Engr. Jestoni G. Tortola; Jeremie D. Flaviano; Honey Jane S. Nasara; Riza May G. Yangular; and Mary Luz S. Pelesco. The benchmarking activity provided the team with an opportunity to learn from CSUโ€™s experience in institutionalizing CPES and enhancing the monitoring and evaluation of infrastructure projects.
