MFNHS @ 63: LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP FOR SUCCESS, CHARACTER FOR CHANGE

From a humble beginning in a converted municipal market on August 3, 1963, Manolo Fortich National High School has grown through six decades of challenges, perseverance, and collective dreams. What began as a response to the need for accessible secondary education in the community has become an institution that continues to shape the lives and futures of generations of Manolo Fortichanon learners.

For 63 years, MFNHS has been a legacy of leadership.

From the pioneering leadership of its first principal, Mr. Moises H. Aquino, to the successive school leaders who guided the institution through periods of growth and transformation, the story of MFNHS is a story of people who chose to believe in the power of education. Even when the school faced financial difficulties, discouragement, and the possibility of being phased out, determined hearts kept it alive. Their leadership paved the way for its nationalization in 1983 and its continued growth through the years.

For 63 years, MFNHS has pursued scholarship for success.

From the first batch of graduates in 1966 and the birth of The Torch, the school’s official student publication, MFNHS has continuously opened pathways for learners to discover their potential. Today, this commitment is reflected in its diverse programs in Science, Technology and Engineering, Journalism, Technical-Vocational Education, Arts, Sports, Indigenous Peoples Education, Special Education, Open High School, and the varied Senior High School offerings.

But education at MFNHS has never been measured by achievements alone.

For 63 years, MFNHS has cultivated character for change.

Its graduates have gone beyond the classroom to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, nurses, midwives, entrepreneurs, skilled workers, managers, public servants, and professionals serving communities here and abroad. Their stories embody the school’s enduring mission: to educate the youth, guide them toward the right direction, and contribute to social upliftment, economic stability, security, and peace.

Today, as we celebrate 63 years of Manolo Fortich National High School, we honor not only the buildings, programs, milestones, and accomplishments, but most importantly, the people who made this journey possible: our pioneers, school leaders, teachers, personnel, learners, parents, alumni, community partners, and generations of Manolo Fortichanons who believed that education can transform lives.

63 years. Countless stories. One enduring legacy.

LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP.
We lead with purpose.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR SUCCESS.
We learn with excellence.

CHARACTER FOR CHANGE.
We live with integrity and serve with compassion.

From the humble market that became a school to an institution that continues to shape leaders, scholars, professionals, and citizens, MFNHS remains steadfast in its mission to educate, empower, and inspire.

As we look back with gratitude and forward with hope, may the next generation carry the legacy even further.

Happy 63rd Founding Anniversary, Manolo Fortich National High School!

MFNHS @ 63
Legacy of Leadership. Scholarship for Success. Character for Change.

Once a Spotless Jewel, always a part of the legacy.

BULIG BASA MANOLEÑO

Building Better Readers, One Step at a Time!
Better late than never! Although the implementation of the BULIG BASA MANOLEÑO Program at Manolo Fortich National High School started later than the official schedule, our school remains committed to catching up and ensuring that every learner receives the literacy support they deserve.

Every assessment completed, every reading session conducted, and every milestone achieved reflects our shared commitment to helping every Manoleño become a more confident and capable reader. This journey is made possible through the unwavering dedication of our teachers, reading coordinators, school leaders, the support of parents, and the determination of our learners.
Reading is more than a skill—it is the key that unlocks opportunities, nurtures dreams, and empowers lifelong learning.

Together, we continue to turn challenges into achievements, one page, one word, and one learner at a time.

The journey continues, and so does our commitment to ensuring that no Manoleño is left behind. Together, we read. Together, we grow. Together, we succeed!
