The Guidance and Counseling Office of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) successfully hosted a webinar titled βWhatβs Life After College: Navigating Careers, Opportunities, and the Futureβ via Zoom on May 19, 2026. It aimed at preparing graduating students for the realities and opportunities beyond academic life.
The program opened with remarks from Ms. Rowena E. Bagongon, MA, Director for Student Affairs, Services, and Development Division, who underscored the importance of preparing students for life beyond college and making informed career decisions.
The virtual event gathered students across various programs to gain insights from distinguished resource speakers who shared their expertise on career readiness and global opportunities. Ms. Mary Claire T. Cahatian, RPm, Instructor from the Department of General Education Curricula, delivered a comprehensive discussion on βLabor Market Trends: Preparing Graduates for the Future of Work.β She highlighted the evolving demands of the job market and emphasized the importance of adaptability, skills development, and continuous learning to remain competitive in today's workforce. As she concluded her talk, she left with an encouraging message, βPadayon.β
Meanwhile, the session on βInternational Scholarship Opportunities for Graduating Studentsβ featured Ms. Fatima Cadapan, Mr. Ken Andrie Dar, and Ms. Maria Michaela Q. Jamora, who shared insights on studying abroad, scholarship applications, and global career opportunities. An open forum followed, allowing students to ask questions and gain further guidance from the speakers.
The webinar concluded with the awarding of certificates, closing remarks from Mr. Jo Augustine G. Corpuz, and a virtual photo opportunity. The organizers also expressed gratitude to the college administration, resource speakers, and the Information and Communications Technology Management Office for their support in making the activity successful. Through initiatives like this, the Guidance and Counseling Office continues to promote career awareness, personal growth, and global readiness among students in NBSC.
