LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET — Following the school's participation in the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Benguet’s PAN-ASPULAN Awards and Recognition Ceremonies on July 17, 2026, Taneg Integarated School (TIS) extends its deepest appreciation to its entire community for their unwavering support and active partnership.

During the event held in Wangal, La Trinidad, TIS received certificates acknowledging the school as a finalist in seven categories under Project CASCADE (Commitment towards an Adaptable Streamer for Nation-Building and Championing Association for Dynamic Excellence) specifically :

79 TIS Learners to Benefit from DEPED Feeding Program

To combat undernutrition, improve learners' health, and boost academic performance, Taneg Integrated School officially launched its preparations for the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) by conducting a parent orientation last July 16 following the release of Division Memorandum No. 274, s. 2026, which authorized the downloading of funds for the program's implementation for School Year 2026–2027.

The orientation, led by District Nurse Mila Paciteng, gathered parents of the program's beneficiaries to discuss the objectives of the SBFP, proper nutrition, food safety, meal schedules, and the important role of parents in ensuring the success of the feeding initiative.

A total of 79 learners were identified as beneficiaries of the program, consisting of 30 Kindergarten pupils, 47 Grade 1 pupils, and two learners from Grades 5 and 6 who were assessed as nutritionally at risk.

Paciteng emphasized that the School-Based Feeding Program is a vital intervention that goes beyond providing meals. She explained that adequate nutrition plays a crucial role in children's physical growth, brain development, concentration, school attendance, and overall academic achievement.
Parents were encouraged to reinforce healthy eating habits at home, ensure their children's regular attendance, and support the school's efforts in monitoring the learners' nutritional progress throughout the implementation period.

The Department of Education's School-Based Feeding Program is one of its primary strategies in addressing malnutrition among public school learners. By providing nutritious daily meals to identified beneficiaries, the program aims to improve learners' nutritional status, reduce absenteeism, increase classroom participation, and create better opportunities for academic success.

With the orientation completed and funds released by the Schools Division of Benguet, Taneg Integrated School is set to implement the program, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that every learner is healthy enough to learn and strong enough to succeed.

TIS UNITES STAKEHOLDERS, FORMS STRONGER SCHOOL GOVERNING COUNCIL

With the belief that quality education thrives through shared leadership, Taneg Integrated School(TIS) officially inducted its School Governing Council (SGC) during the school's Induction and Turnover Ceremony on July 16, 2026, bringing together leaders from education, parents, government, civil society, indigenous communities, and the student body under one governing council.

Feler A. Domyong, School Principal, chairs the newly constituted SGC, joined by representatives from the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), STILA, TICLA, the Alumni Association, FTWA, the Barangay Local Government Unit, religious organizations, the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), senior citizens, ISRI–COMREL, the Supreme Elementary Learners' Government (SELG), the Supreme Secondary Learners' Government (SSLG), and the teaching force.

The council includes Hardey R. Norte, Valentine A. Abdul, Breth Mike T. Antonio, J***y S. Antonio, Genevieve D. Copite, Helen B. Simeon, Letecia Locano, Ptr. Mayo Bayacsan, Cornelia Madino, Gilbert Caluten, Jimmy Jaime Lawana, Rodel U. Manlong, Sky Reid T. Pacsi, Clytem Nestra Pawids, and Lo**ta S. Joaquin.
More than a ceremonial body, the School Governing Council serves as the school's highest multi-sectoral advisory and policy-making partner.

Taneg Integrates School (TIS) SWEARS IN NEW SELG, SSLG LEADERS TO STRENGTHEN STUDENT VOICE

TANEG, Mankayan, Benguet—Taneg Integrated School officially ushered in a new era of student leadership as the newly elected officers of the Supreme Elementary Learners' Government (SELG) and Supreme Secondary Learners' Government (SSLG) took their oath of office during the school's Induction and Turnover Ceremony, July 16.

The induction formally empowered the student leaders to represent the interests of their fellow learners, spearhead school initiatives, and work alongside teachers, parents, and school officials in building a more inclusive, disciplined, and learner-centered school community.

Leading the SELG is Sky Reid Pacsi as President, with Argyle Abdul serving as Vice President. Joining the executive committee are Yassi Louise Tacquiqui (Secretary), Brenan Jeff Bautista (Treasurer), Ezra Josiah Tiwaken (Public Information Officer), and Business Managers Lance Lester Norte and Catherine Banwagen.

On the secondary level, Clytem Nestra Pawid assumed the highest post as SSLG President, supported by Hadassah Mhae Tangliben (Vice President), Arvhy Mhae Soriano (Secretary), Divine Emelio (Treasurer), Jayver Arellano (Auditor), and Allester Bri Andoy (Public Information Officer). Completing the council are Bruce Dwayne Big-Asan and Gavebriel Garte as Business Managers, Malofe Copite as Protocol Officer, Nathaniel Soriano and Rye Vough Sugot as Peace Officers, and grade-level representatives Althea Buli-e for Grade 7 and Eljhazerah Lynn Itchok for Grade 8.

The SELG and SSLG serve as the highest governing student organizations in the elementary and secondary levels, respectively.

Beyond organizing school activities, they act as the official voice of the student body, encouraging learners to participate in decision-making, uphold discipline, develop leadership skills, and promote programs that enhance both academic and co-curricular life.

School officials emphasized that effective student governance plays a vital role in nurturing responsible, compassionate, and service-oriented citizens. Through the SELG and SSLG, learners are given opportunities to practice democratic leadership, initiate projects that address student needs, and cultivate teamwork, accountability, and civic responsibility at an early age.

TANEG IS HOLDS FIRST-EVER INDUCTION OF OFFICERS

TANEG, MANKAYAN, Benguet—Taneg Integrated School (TIS) marked a historic milestone as it formally inducted its first-ever set of officers following its transition into an integrated school during the Induction of Officers and Turnover Ceremony, July 16.

Carrying the theme "Lead Today. Inspire Tomorrow," the ceremony officially installed the pioneering student, parent, faculty, and community leaders who will help steer the school's programs and initiatives for School Year 2026–2027.

Barangay Captain Hon. Antonio D. Napoleon administered the oath of office, reminding the newly elected officers that leadership is rooted in integrity, commitment, and service to the school community.

School Principal Feler Domyong welcomed parents, teachers, learners, and stakeholders, emphasizing that the school's growth as an integrated institution requires collaboration among all sectors of the community.

The induction proper, led by faculty member Melouwyn Lantaen, formally installed the Classroom Officers, Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG), Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Homeroom Officers, Faculty Officers, School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA), and the School Governing Council (SGC).

A highlight of the ceremony was the induction of the first General School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) officers of Taneg Integrated School, headed by Hardey R. Norte as President. Joining him in the pioneering executive board are Cesar Camiling, Vice President; Ellaine Aquintey, Secretary; Mary Grace Andoy, Treasurer; Janice Organo, Assistant Treasurer; Rhea Calay, Auditor; Erlinda R. Buli-e, Public Information Officer; and Acexell Bigo and Jobelle Locano, Business Managers.

Representing the different communities served by the school are Daisy Andres (Gueday), Eden Pacsi (Panat), Perlita Atimpao (Suyoc/Dagas), Anabelle Bayani (Abbao/Doggong), Rose Marie Antonio (Basig/Mill), Sheryl Manuel (Banooy), and Randy Declasen (Mangga/Pongo), further strengthening the partnership between the school and the barangay.

The program opened with the nationalistic activity led by faculty member Nely Antonio, followed by an invocation by PTA Treasurer Mary Grace Andoy. Principal Domyong delivered the opening remarks before Hon. Napoleon inspired the officers with a message on servant leadership and community involvement.

During the ceremony, the newly inducted officers pledged to faithfully perform their duties, actively support school programs, and work hand in hand to promote the welfare of every learner.
Closing remarks were delivered by PTA Vice President Cesar Camiling, while PTA Secretary Ellaine Aquintey led the closing prayer. Faculty member Angela Napoleon served as the master of ceremonies.

The historic induction signaled more than the assumption of office by newly elected leaders. It marked the beginning of a stronger partnership among learners, parents, teachers, and community stakeholders as Taneg Integrated School continues to grow as a complete basic education institution.

TANEG IS Enters A New Era; NORTE Named First PTA President

TANEG, MANKAYAN, BENGUET — Some moments are celebrated. Others are remembered. But only a few become history.

July 16, 2026 was one of those rare moments.

As applause filled the campus and newly elected leaders raised their right hands in solemn oath, Taneg Integrated School turned another page in its story. For the first time since its transition into an integrated school, its pioneering set of officers officially took office—ushering in a new era of leadership, partnership, and hope.

Leading this historic milestone was Hardey Norte, who begins his second consecutive term as PTA President while earning a distinction that no one else will ever hold: the first-ever PTA President of Taneg Integrated School for School Year 2026–2027.

For Norte, the occasion was more than ceremonial—it was deeply personal.
"The feeling is out of this world—a mix of emotions, and most of all, a deep sense of pride. It is such an honor and a big privilege to be your very first PTA President here at Taneg Integrated School."

At 31 years old, Norte is no stranger to hard work. He is a freelance chef, crafting meals that bring people together; a bodybuilding and fitness coach, shaping discipline and determination; and a small-scale miner, where perseverance is measured one stone at a time.

Though his professions differ, they have forged the same qualities that define his leadership—commitment, resilience, humility, and an unwavering willingness to serve.
Yet beyond his titles lies a vision that reaches far beyond today.
"One Community. One Goal. Growing Together from Day One."

For Norte, Taneg Integrated School is not simply a place of learning—it is a community where every child deserves to feel safe, every parent deserves a voice, and every teacher deserves a partner.
His vision stands on four enduring pillars:
