SSC Manila College Student Council Scholastica’s College-Student Council is the democratically-constituted government of the collegiate student body of St. Scholastica’s College-Manila (SSC).

The College Student Council advocates for academic freedom, peace, justice, integrity, and gender equality while maintaining an independent stance in all its ideals and principles. Student Council 2023 - 2024

St. It is founded on the principle of student representation and service to society. All bona fide students of SSC are members of the Student Council. All powers of the Student Council emanate from the students. The Student Council shall at all times protect and uphold the democratic rights and welfare of the students. It is dedicated to the promotion of social awareness and involvement among the students of the College Unit. The Executive Board (EB) of the Student Council is composed of the President, Internal Vice President, External Vice President, Student Organization Chairperson, Secretary General, Finance Officer, and Batch Representatives. Consultative assemblies of the Executive Board are the Council of Leaders comprised of all organization presidents, and the Council of Representatives comprised of all class representatives.

“The Filipino is worth dying for.” — Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. 🎗️

Today, August 21, we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day. We honor the the life and sacrifices of former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. He was a man who had a big stand for the democracy and freedom of the Filipino people.

Ninoy’s journey reminds us that courage is not simply about standing up against adversity, but about choosing to speak up when it matters, to stand for what is right, and to remain hopeful in the difficult times. His sacrifice became a symbol of the country’s pursuit of freedom and democracy.

As we remember his legacy, may he continue to be a reminder and an inspiration to us—that we must speak with purpose, stand with the right principles, and to serve the country. 💛

[ANNOUNCEMENT]

Due to persistent monsoon rains and severe flooding, all physical classes for the College Unit are suspended today, Monday, August 17, 2026. Classes will temporarily transition to online learning, unless an alternative arrangement is agreed upon by the faculty and students.

School offices will remain open and operate as usual onsite.

Students who are already on campus may stay until it is safe to travel home.
