📖 Study Highlights
🔎 The study examined the relationship between parental involvement and the reading proficiency of Grade 4 learners at Sto. Niño Dela Paz Elementary School, Division of Bohol, during the School Year 2025–2026. Findings revealed that parental involvement was Moderately Evident, with parents primarily providing administrative support while instructional engagement at home remained limited. Learners achieved a Proficient level in reading but continued to experience challenges in reading fluency and higher-order comprehension skills.
🔎 Statistical analysis demonstrated a significant positive relationship between parental involvement and learners’ reading proficiency, emphasizing that stronger home-school partnerships contribute to improved literacy outcomes. As a practical output of the study, a Specialized Reading Exercise Manual was developed to strengthen word recognition, reading fluency, and comprehension while fostering meaningful parent-child literacy engagement beyond the classroom.
🌎👏 This research underscores the vital role of families in developing strong readers and provides an evidence-based framework for enhancing literacy instruction through collaborative partnerships among schools, teachers, parents, and learners.
Congratulations on this outstanding scholarly achievement! Your research contributes significantly to literacy education by reinforcing the importance of parental engagement as a catalyst for improving reading proficiency and promoting quality basic education.
