The Arts and Languages Department of the Institute of General Education proudly congratulates Dr. Domar C. Alviar for his remarkable scholarly achievement and meaningful contribution to educational research across Asia.

His publication entitled “Digital Divide and Educational Inequality in Asia: A Cross-Country Secondary Data Analysis of Connectivity, Access, and Student Achievement” published in Journal of Research, Innovation and Strategies for Education together with his co-author Mr. Mhel Cedric D. Bendo reflects the unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and transformative education. This significant work transcends the advancement of critical discourse on equity and accessibility in education in Asian context.

His remarkable dedication to scholarship brings pride and honor not only to the Institute of General Education but also to the entire academic community. May this scholarly work continue to create impactful change and contribute to the development of inclusive and globally responsive education.

Buong pinagmamalaki ng Departamento ng mga Sining at Wika (A&L) ang makabuluhang lektura ng Kawaksing Prop. Jennifor L. Aguilar sa Pambansang Seminar-Worksyap at Kumperensya sa Filipino 2026 na ginanap noong ika-23-25 ng Abril sa GSP Baguio City. Pinangasiwaan ito ng Pambansang Samahan ng mga Propesyunal at Mananaliksik sa Pilipinas (PSPP), Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) at Kapisanan ng mga Tagapagtaguyod ng Filipino sa Pilipinas.

Sa kanyang sesyon na “Mula Panukala Hanggang Pahina,” muling pinatunayan ni Dr. Aguilar ang husay sa pananaliksik at makabuluhang ambag nito sa pagpapaunlad ng wikang Filipino.

Isang karangalang nagpapakita ng dedikasyon ang A&L sa kahusayan, inobasyon, at makabayang edukasyon para sa lahat ng stakeholders ng unibersidad.

The Arts and Languages (A&L) Faculty of the Institute of General Education proudly recognizes the successful academic engagement led by Associate Prof. Carla Marie M. Santos and Assist. Prof. Mariecres B. Hontiveros, from the second IGE Lecture Series, “Speak Gen Z, Teach Inclusively” held on April 29, 2026 at 1005 ANB, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. This recent speaking engagement foregrounded the critical role of inclusive communication in today’s Generation Z among GE classrooms.

Bringing together educators and learners in a dynamic space for dialogue, the session explored how language, pedagogy, and cultural awareness intersect to shape more responsive and equitable learning environments. Through evidence-based insights and grounded classroom practices, the speakers highlighted the importance of fostering empathy, adaptability, and critical discourse - key competencies in navigating the evolving educational landscape.

This engagement stands as a testament to the A&L Faculty’s commitment to academic excellence and transformative education.
