| Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 134 s. 2026 ng Malacañang, suspendido ang face-to-face classes sa LAHAT NG ANTAS ng mga PAMPUBLIKO AT PRIBADONG PAARALAN sa Metro Manila, kabilang ang Quezon City ngayong araw September 4, 2026 (Biyernes).

Dahil ito sa inaasahang patuloy na malalakas na pag-ulan dulot ng Hanging (Southwest Monsoon), gayundin ang hindi magandang kalidad ng hangin sa National Capital Region (NCR) bunsod ng smoke o haze mula sa sunog sa mga kagubatan ng Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Ipatutupad ang Alternative Delivery Modes of Learning (Synchronous / Asynchronous) upang masiguro ang patuloy na pagkatuto ng mga mag-aaral.

Pinapayuhan ang lahat na mag-ingat at manatili sa inyong tahanan kung kinakailangan para sa inyong kaligtasan.

Following the announcement of Malacañang Palace, Face-to-Face classes at all levels are suspended today, Friday, September 4, 2026, in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall and poor air quality.

Classes will shift to online synchronous mode.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Zambales
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Tarlac
📍 Pampanga
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Batangas
📍 Occidental Mindoro

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

🇵🇭 NATIONAL HEROES DAY | August 31

“A nation remembers not only those who died for it, but those who lived for something greater than themselves.”

On this National Heroes Day, we honor the Filipinos whose courage, sacrifice, and love for the country helped shape the freedom we experience today.

From a philosophical perspective, heroism is not merely an act of extraordinary courage. For Aristotle, virtue is formed through the habitual choice to pursue what is good. A hero, therefore, is not simply one who performs a great deed, but one who chooses the good of others even when doing so demands sacrifice.

Our heroes remind us that the common good is greater than individual interest. Their lives challenge us to ask: What are we willing to do for the good of our fellow Filipinos and for the generations who will come after us?

May we not only remember our heroes, but continue the values they embodied—courage, justice, truth, and love of country.

A Meaningful Assembly, A Shared Vision💙🦅

The BA Philosophy Department successfully held its General Assembly for Academic Year 2026–2027, bringing together students in dialogue, fellowship, and a shared pursuit of wisdom.

The assembly began with opening remarks from Fr. Kenneth Centeno, CM, Chairperson of the Philosophy Department, who welcomed the students and set the tone for the new academic year.

The newly appointed SoPhiA Council also formally assumed office through the Oath-Taking Ceremony before the Philosophy student body. In his closing remarks, Mr. Angelo Cerro, President of the Students of Philosophy Association, introduced this year’s SoPhiA thrust: “Through Meaningful Encounters, Toward Shared Wisdom.”

More than a gathering, the assembly marked the beginning of a new academic year and a renewed commitment to learning, friendship, and the pursuit of truth.

May this academic year bring us closer to one another and deeper into the pursuit of wisdom.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FR. ROLAND! 🎉

As students of SVST, we are grateful for your leadership and for your continued efforts in making our school a better place for studies and formation. We appreciate your work in improving our facilities and, more importantly, in bringing the mission of St. Vincent de Paul beyond the classroom and closer to the margins of society.

May the Lord continue to bless you with strength as you lead the SVST community and help form students who seek truth while remaining close to the realities of the people we are called to serve.

Happy Birthday, Fr. Roland! Thank you for leading us toward a wisdom that brings Philosophy and Theology more closer to the people and to the margins.
