Distinguished thought leader in transformative education, Dr. Loreta Navarro-Castro is today's master class teacher of our School of Teacher Education (SoTE) students. She will particularly give insights into "The Teacher and the Community, School Culture, and Organizational Leadership".

As Founding Director of the Center for Peace Education based in Miriam College, she has been actively involved in the work of mainstreaming peace education, interfaith peacebuilding and nuclear disarmament. She is one of two Asia Regional Leads of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons or ICAN that won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017. ICAN received the Nobel Peace Prize for “its work to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons and for its ground-breaking efforts to achieve a treaty-based prohibition of such weapons.”

The National Teacher College has collaborated with the Office of International Affairs and ASEAN Network (IAAN) to select four distinguished NTC students as delegates to represent the institution at the 8th Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) ASEAN+3 Youth Camp 2024. This initiative is the first of its kind for undergraduate students and aims to promote internationalization. The eight-day event will take place from January 13th to January 20th, 2024, and will revolve around the theme of "Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity for Sustainable Development to Future Prosperity."
