Abagat, and Anne Julienne Genuino-Marfori on the publication of their discussion paper, Estimating the Cost-Effectiveness Threshold for the Philippines: A Supply-Side Approach, published in the UP CIDS Discussion Paper Series 2026-24.

The paper provides a context-specific estimate of the Philippine cost-effectiveness threshold using local economic and health system data, contributing evidence that can support health technology assessment, resource allocation, and evidence-informed healthcare decision-making in the country.

This initiative supports not only compliance with Department of Health Administrative Order No. 2022-0004, which encourages stakeholders to “develop and implement their own guidelines or ethical codes on the responsible reporting and/or portrayal of su***de, ” but also strengthens and empowers pharmacists in their crucial role in su***de prevention.
