𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙧! Last May 7, 2026, FEU Tech Students and Associates, in collaboration with the Community Extension Services (CES) and the National Service Training Program (NSTP), headed to the Las Piñas–Parañaque Wetland Park for 𝐢𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧: 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐝𝐞. Our dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves to clear marine debris, proving that no amount of heat can stop the Tamaraw spirit of service.

Through this collective effort, the team 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟭𝟯 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵, preventing harmful pollutants from damaging our vital coastal ecosystems. This direct action helps safeguard our marine life and promotes a cleaner, greener future for one of Metro Manila's most essential natural habitats.

After the clean-up, participants engaged in an immersive 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 on Freedom Island. This trek through the "last coastal frontier" allowed volunteers to witness the beauty of mangrove forests and mudflats firsthand.

This initiative translates environmental advocacy into tangible practice while supporting several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By focusing on 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟐 (𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧), 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟒 (𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫), 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟓 (𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟕 (𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬), the FEU Tech community continues to champion global sustainability through local action.

The sun is high, but our spirits are higher! FEU Tech Students and Associates are currently on the ground at the Las Piñas–Parañaque Wetland Park for 𝐢𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧: 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐝𝐞 — 𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.

By removing plastics and waste from the shores, the team is taking direct action to protect our vital coastal ecosystems and promote a cleaner, greener future for our marine life.

Before diving into the clean-up, participants took an immersive 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒅 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 and 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒌 on 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱. This trek through the "last coastal frontier" of Metro Manila allowed our volunteers to witness the beauty of the mangrove forests and mudflats firsthand. Connecting with the sanctuary's rich biodiversity serves as a powerful reminder of why we must protect these critical habitats from pollution and reclamation.

This initiative, organized by CES and NSTP, demonstrates that real change starts with community action.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐰:

𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, one of FEU Tech’s Community Extension Services active partner communities in community development, is conducting a research presentation on the Meaningful Youth Engagement (MYE) Project.

Youth from 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐜. take the lead in presenting insights on key issues such as lack of education and teenage pregnancy, amplifying the voices of vulnerable sectors.

Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being , and SDG 5: Gender Equality, this initiative highlights the importance of inclusive and youth-centered development. 🌍

Led by 14 youth consultants, this initiative showcases how empowered young people can drive meaningful change across communities.

In light of the upcoming hot dry season, a relaxed dress code will be implemented from March 18, 2026 to July 31, 2026. This is to ensure that all iTamaraws are comfortable in their daily campus life.

Shorts will now be allowed inside the FEU Tech building as long as they are :
1️⃣ not shorter than 1-2 inches above the knee.
2️⃣ not surfer shorts or athletic shorts.

Skirts will also be allowed, as long as they are not shorter than 1-2 inches above the knee.

For footwear, clogs and sandals with socks are now also allowed.

𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐱𝐚𝐬 from the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), successfully held 𝗶𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮𝗻: 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 — 𝗔 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 last March 13, 2026, at the FEU Tech Student Plaza. This initiative empowered participants to lead urban gardening and climate-resilience efforts within the FEU Tech campus.

The program featured comprehensive discussions on the fundamentals of urban agriculture, highlighting its role in food security and climate-smart vegetable production. Mr. Roxas shared his knowledge on maintaining soil health through composting, managing pests naturally, and implementing water-efficient irrigation for sustainable city living.

Through hands-on workshops, the FEU Tech Students and Associates explored vertical gardening with recycled containers, and mastered techniques for seed sowing and seedling transplanting.

FEU Tech’s Community Extension Services successfully held the 𝐢𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧: 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 — 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 forum last March 11, 2026, at the FEU Tech Gymnasium. This powerful event brought together influential leaders and change-makers to explore the evolving role of women in governance, digital security, and peacebuilding.

The program opened with a warm welcome from Senior Director for Human Resource 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼, followed by a solidarity message from Senior Director for Academic Services 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗔. 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀, who emphasized the importance of legislative strides toward gender inclusivity.

A highlight of the afternoon was the special address by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗜. 𝗘𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗼, House Representative of Gabriela Partylist, who challenged the youth to break barriers and lead with purpose in shaping a more equitable society.

The forum featured an extensive exchange of insights from a powerhouse lineup of guest panelists. 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘀, Chief Content Officer of INQUIRER.net, provided critical perspectives on women, peace, and security in the digital age. 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘇 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗮, 𝗥𝗦𝗪, a Licensed Social Worker, explored women leading peace and conflict resolution in communities, followed by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰-𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗼 of FEU Manila’s IAS Faculty, who spoke on shaping peace through education, youth engagement, and values formation. Additionally, 𝗠𝘅. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇𝗮, 𝗝𝗿. from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity shared insights on building peace through diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Another major highlight of the event was the Panel Discussion, which focused on the multifaceted role of 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈. The panelists delved into how women act as pillars of stability in their communities, bridging gaps through empathy and strategic leadership. Following the discussion, the floor was opened for a question-and-answer session, where the guest panelists directly addressed the inquiries of FEU Tech students. These exchanges allowed for a deeper exploration of gender-related challenges and provided the youth with practical advice on how to contribute to a more just and peaceful society.

To wrap up the insightful event, Discipline Unit Coordinator 𝗠𝘀. 𝗬𝘃𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗚. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗻𝗲𝘁 delivered the concluding message, reminding the FEU Tech community that the fight for equality is a collective responsibility.
