Be an Inspiration, Take Education (BITE) Project was successfully held at the RICH Room, Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu Building, in collaboration with Letran Future Educators Society (LFES), Letran’s premier organization for Education majors. The event aimed to spark a deeper calling within students, not just to learn, but to teach, lead, and inspire.💡

Through a fun-filled and engaging seminar-workshop packed with interactive activities, participants experienced meaningful learning alongside our guest speaker, Prof. Victoria Sarmiento-Yoo.

Today’s sessions centered on English lessons carefully aligned with the Department of Education (DepEd) curriculum, ensuring that every activity directly supports the mastery of essential competencies. By grounding our lessons on curriculum standards, we continue to empower learners with the language skills they need to succeed academically and confidently express themselves.

This meaningful initiative would not be possible without the passion and dedication of our volunteers. Our deepest gratitude goes to the volunteers from the Education Program, the Letran Future Educators’ Society, and the Community Extension Department for selflessly sharing their time, knowledge, and hearts in service of education. Today, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝, we celebrate 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲! Established in 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟎 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. This specific date was officially chosen to honor the birthday of the literary legend himself, 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞. It is a day to celebrate both the rich historical and literary roots of the English language, as well as its vital function in bringing different cultures together.

The College of Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences (CELAS), in partnership with the Community Extension Department (CED), Letran Future Educators' Society - LFES, and Brgy. 657 Intramuros, Manila, proudly presents Project 657: EduKaalaman.

This initiative continues its dedicated mission of bringing accessible, engaging, and meaningful learning to the students of Barangay 657 by providing free tutorials in English and Mathematics. By addressing educational disparities and bridging learning gaps, the program aims to strengthen academic foundations while nurturing the confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills necessary for success in school and beyond.

Beyond academic support, Project 657: EduKaalaman serves as a vital bridge for community engagement and professional growth. It fosters a collaborative environment where students, parents, and local leaders unite to support the youth, while simultaneously providing Letran faculty and student volunteers a real-world platform to enhance their teaching, leadership, and mentorship skills. By instilling the value of lifelong learning and social responsibility, this partnership seeks to empower both the learners and the educators, ensuring a lasting positive impact on the social and economic growth of the community.

Join us as we begin our journey this April 24, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by our succeeding sessions on May 2, 8, 15, and 22 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Letranites, in light of the postponement of our initial election day schedules, the student elections will commence on April 20 and 21, 2026 (Monday and Tuesday).

We encourage everyone to actively participate in the election process and observe proper behavior in the voting precincts. The Commission will be ready to assist all voters and their concerns during the election days.
