I got that sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet. 🎶⭐

Do you notice your mood getting better when you listen to music? Studies suggest that our favorite songs are not just catchy, they are often designed to boost mood. Songs written in a major key, paired with upbeat tempos around 140–150 BPM and uplifting lyrics, are commonly associated with happiness and positive emotional responses (Yang et al., 2025).

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, here are a few songs you can add to your playlist to help turn that frown upside down. Because sometimes, healing can sound a little like your favorite chorus. 🎧💛

A basket of mental wellness is not only filled with care and love, but also with foods that help support emotional and cognitive health. From omega-3-rich Bangus and Galunggong that help lower the risk of depression, to fiber-packed Ginisang Munggo that supports the gut-brain connection, Filipino cuisine offers natural ways to care for our well-being. Malunggay and Talbos ng Kamote provide antioxidants that help reduce stress, while Nilagang Baka supplies nutrients that support mental clarity. Saging na Saba and Taho also help boost serotonin production, promoting a happier and more balanced mood. 🌱✨

Mental wellness starts from within, and sometimes, healing can begin right at the dining table. 🍲💚
