The FEU Oratorical and Debate Council happily expresses their pride for their contingents in UADC 2024. The contingent is composed of 7 members for debate and adjudication namely:

They are set to represent Far Eastern University in the prestigious United Asian Debating Championship from May 31 - June 8, 2024. They will be accompanied by their adviser Sir Mark Ysla and their chaperone Ms. Ameerah Milano.

With this, the Executive Board A.Y. 2024-2025, along with their adviser Mr. Mark Salvador Ysla, and the FEU-Student Development office organized a send-off on May 27, 2024 for the contingents.

The newly appointed Executive Board for A.Y. 2024-2025 joined the Induction and Oath Taking Ceremony held yesterday, May 27, 2024 with the theme, Truthful, Accountable, and Meaningful Student (TAMS) Leadership: Braving the Path of Integrity and Sustainability which included speeches from the Keynote speaker Mr. Chris Ferareza and FEU Student Development Director Rondell Gascon

Official Inductees include President, Anri Sophia Semba, Vice President-External, Denise Angel Montes, Vice President-Internal, Marriel Alagano, Secretary, Rachelle Laureen Cordova, Treasurer, Kenneth Thomas Canque, Auditor, Christian Rafael Gayoso, Press Relations Officer, Paula Jamie Guzman, and Executive Consultant, Stephanie Cayabyab. They were also joined by the outgoing Executive Consultant, Rodel Patrick Apepe.

𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗖 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗗𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Spanning from April 27 to 28, the Philippine Debate Open 2024 gathered the best debating teams and pitted them against each other. One of those teams were comprised of Denise Montes, Rafael Gayoso, and Eryl Cabiles. With their team, they made their way to the Novice Breaks and eventually achieved the title of Novice Finals Champions with Denise Montes being titled the Best Novice Finals Speaker, and with Rafael Gayoso titled as the 7th Best Novice Speaker throughout the tournament.

The organization congratulates their contingents for the level of prowess in debating that was showcased in the Philippine Debate Open 2024. We take immense pride in the success you have achieved and we look forward for a more success in the future.

𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗖 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Stiff competition was ever present at the Debatable Open held from April 19 to 21 and among the competition was the trio of Daenah Tajan, Benjaline Supanga, and Paul Galimba who braved their way through the event, making it through the Novice Breaks and eventually going all the way to win the Novice Finals altogether. Aside from the major triumph that is the Novice Finals Win at the event, Daenah Tajan received the 2nd Best Novice Speaker Award, while Benjaline Supanga and Paul Galimba was tied and received the 4th Best Speaker Award.

The organization expresses its utmost pride and joy in the growth that you have continuously shown. We wish nothing but the best and for more success in the near future.

𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗖 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭

MAP1, or Manila Asian Parliamentary 1, was held from April 13-14 and with it came stacked competition with various strong institutions hailing from India, China, and Korea participating in the tournament. One of the teams in the stacked competition was the team of Paula Guzman, along with former ORADEC presidents Remle Cadelina and Trisha Cinco who showed excellence in the sport of debate. They concluded their run as the 10th Breaking Team of the competition, and with Paula Guzman achieving the 2nd Best Speaker Award for the Novice Category.

The recently held Cebu Intervarsity Pre-UADC tournament was home to a stacked competition on the weekends of April 5 to 7. Rodel Apepe, together with fellow debaters Sam Unabia and Max Lampa who come from the San Beda Debate Society. The team broke into the Opens and concluded their run during the Open Semifinals.

Manila Pro-Am 2024: Pre-UADC was held on March 23 and 23, and with it being a Pre-UADC tournament, guarantees stiff competition for all contingents from each institution participating. Anri Semba went on to be named as a Breaking Adjudicator for the tournament, and on top of breaking, managed to be an Open Semifinals Chair to where she capped off her tournament run.

Anri, the organization continues to show its utmost pride with the level of skill you have continuously showcased. ORADEC wishes you more success and triumphs in the near future.

Ramadan Debate Open was a competition that fielded two categories with the English Category taking place from March 22 to 24, and the Urdu Category from March 29 to 31. Isaac Bagalawis showcased unparalleled skill in adjudicating in the English Category by starting his run as a breaking judge and ending it as the overall best judge of the competition.

Isaac, the organization continues to express its greatest pride in the level of skill and competition you have put in the competition. May you find more success in the near future

ORADEC continues its winning streak in the CIDA Novice Cup held from March 23 to 24, 2024. Kurt Abalos and Chelsea Samorano ended their great run in the Open Quarterfinals. While, Clofaye Abad was one of the Breaking Adjudicators.

From February 24 to 25, the Santa Mesa Debate Open took place and with it, two teams prevailed with the pair of Anri Semba and Kenneth Canque finishing their run with an Open Octo Finalist spot, while the duo of Stephanie Cayabyab and Rodel Apepe reaching Open Reserve Breaks. Clofaye Abad and Castiel Angelwing were also named Breaking Adjudicators in the tournament.

The organization congratulates their contingents for their prowess in debating and adjudicating that was showcased in the Santa Mesa Debate Open, and for the level of competitiveness they have exhibited. ORADEC's contingents for both debate and adjudicating showcased their skill in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Debate Competition held on February 10, 11, and, 12, 2024. Representing the organization in debate, Kurt Adrian Abalos and Isaac Bagalawis made it in the Open Quarter Finals. Abalos won big by bagging the Best Novice Speaker and the 10th Best Open Speaker awards. Bagalawis was also awarded the 8th Best Open Speaker distinction.

Anri Sophia Semba showed her prowess by being one of the Breaking Adjudicators in the competition. She finished her run as one of the Open Grand Finals Judge.

The FEU Oratorical and Debate council congratulates their contingents for their prowess in debating and adjudicating, showcased in the Athena Intervarsity Invitational Debates held from January 26 to 28.

The FEU Oratorical and Debate council congratulates their contingents for their prowess in debating and adjudicating, showcased in the Athena Intervarsity Invitational Debates held from January 26 to 28.

The pair of Rafael Gayoso and Rodel Apepe went on to take the championship in the Open Grand Finals with both of them achieving speaker awards, Rodel Apepe being the 4th Best Open Speaker and Rafael Gayoso being the Open Finals Best Speaker. In the same category, Ely Corpuz and Gwyneth Vedrero concluded their run in the Athena Intervarsity with an Open Grand Finals spot. Moreover, Clofaye Abad was named a breaking adjudicator and went on to become the Chair Adjudicator in the Novice Finals. She also achieved the Overall 2nd Best Judge award at the end of the competition.

Continuing the sets of breaks, this time in the Novice Category. Castiel Angelwing, Justin Robert Hornbeck, Paul Galimba, and Benjaline Supanga, have made it all the way through the Novice Semifinals where they conclude their run in the Athena Intervarsity

Spanning from December 15 to December 17, contingents participating in the tournament bagged breaks all across the board with Stephanie Cayabyab, Kenneth Canque, Margaret Cristobal and Isaac Bagalawis breaking as judges with Bagalawis making it to judging the Grand Finals and achieving the 3rd Best Adjudicator Award.

Anri Semba, Rodel Apepe, Paula Guzman, and Alexa Andresan who reached the open breaks continued the streak of breaks with Guzman and Andresan concluding their run with an Open Quarterfinals spot, while the duo of Apepe and Semba making it all the way to the Open Semifinals where they finished their run. The last sets of breaks came from Rafael Gayoso, Gwyneth Vedrero, Denise Montes, and Justin Balinado securing their spot in the novice breaks to where all of which made it to the Novice Finals. Denise Montes ultimately achieved the Best Novice Finals Speaker award and as well as being the 7th Best Novice Speaker across the tournament.

Youngwoo Park's achievements in the world of debate are nothing short of impressive. From reaching the Partial Double Octo Finals at WUDC 2024 to clinching the title of Champion and Finals Best Speaker at KIDA Nationals 2023, his track record speaks volumes about his talent and commitment.

But Youngwoo's impact goes beyond winning accolades. He's also played crucial roles as Chief Adjudicator at NEADC 2023, Deputy Chief Adjudicator at UADC 2023, and Grand Finals Chair at UADC 2022. His insightful judgment has been recognized at esteemed tournaments like Australs 2023 and ABP 2022, where he served as a Grand Finals Judge, and at Australs 2022 as an ESL Finals Judge.

Two teams prevailed during the Diliman Debate Open held on November 25 and 26, 2023. Eryl Cabiles and Rafael Gayoso finished as Novice Semi-Finalists. While, Denise Montes and Paula Guzman ended their run as Novice Grand Finalists.

Isaac Bagalawis showcased his adjudicating skills in the Ateneo Intervarsity Pre-Worlds 2023 held last November 18 to 19, 2023. Besides being an Invited Adjudicator, Bagalawis finished his run as a Grandfinals Adjudicator and was awarded 3rd Best Adjudicator.

Isaac Bagalawis bested 100 qualifiers of young leaders across the country and was chosen to be one of Markprof's Top 25 trainees for their 20th Marketing and Sales Bootcamp. This 8-week and highly selective bootcamp intensively trains collegiate students to become industry leaders.

Congratulations for surviving one of the most selective application processes and competetive screening sessions! We are proud of you Isaac! We are thankful for your dedication in becoming an inspiration to our members. We hope for your success in this endeavor.

The FEU Oratorical and Debate Council congratulates their contingents in the IS - Ultimate Debates held on October 28, 2023. Eryl Cabiles and Rafael Gayoso took home the Novice Grand Finals Championship, with Cabiles winning the Novice Grand Finals Best Speaker. Denise Montes was also awarded the 2nd Best Speaker in the Novice Category. Lastly, Paula Guzman was named as the Top Novice Speaker and won 3rd Best Speech in the Open Category.
