DAWN ADVISORY | Lepanto Gate now allows entry

The Lepanto Gate in the Lualhati Building (LB) has now been opened to students, the University announced on its official page.

This is to aid the flow of students within the campus for the second semester, which starts its first day of classes today, January 3, for kinder to junior high school Warriors.

The Lepanto Gate, also named as the LB Gate, is along Sergio H. Loyola Street.

To enter, Warriors must tap their student IDs at the newly installed turnstile gates.

Meanwhile, senior high school and college students are set to have their first day of classes on January 15.

University of the East (UE) Pep Squad Coach Gibson Alegre is calling on the Warrior community to support the team as they battle it out at the UAAP Season 86 Cheerdance Competition.

“Please cheer and boost our Warrior cheerleaders as we need you in this fight,” Alegre said in an interview with RedWire.

“Thank you for the unending support, UE Community, alumni, management, and supporters who are believing in what we can do. Laban natin lahat ‘to, mga Warriors!” he added.

The most-anticipated UAAP 86 cheerdance tilt is set to electrify the crowd later today at 2 pm at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

Aiming to return to the podium, the UE Pep Squad will open the show with a ‘90s anime-themed routine.

“Bagong bihis ng routine, exciting surprises, and nostalgic ang approach ng theme namin this year,” Alegre bared.

Last season, the Warrior squad landed at fourth place with a Pinoy pop-themed routine.

Lualhati Building to be Formally Opened and Blessed This Friday!

The Catholic faithful in the UE community are invited to the blessing of the brand new chapel of UE Manila!

The blessing will be during the first ever Holy Mass to be held at the new UE Manila Chapel, which is located on the ground floor of the Manila Campus’ Lualhati Building. The activity takes place this Friday, September 22, 2023, at 12 noon.

The Mass and blessing wiill be led by Rev. Fr. Virgilio M. Paredes Jr., OAR, the Vice President for Identity and Formation and the Mission Chaplain of San Sebastián College-Recoletos Manila.

The new UE Manila Chapel replaces the Campus’s previous St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, which were among the structures that needed to be demolished following the fire in the campus premises back in April 2, 2016, which has gone on to give rise to the Lualhati Building.

The second ever activity in the new UE Manila Chapel will be the Thanksgiving Mass at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023, UE’s Foundation Day, as part of the celebration of the University’s 77th Foundation Anniversary.

For the first time in the history of the University of the East's Bachelor of Library and Information Science Program, Ms. ZAMYLLE ROSS BELARO CELSO, RL has secured the top spot with an impressive 88.85% average in the recent Librarians Licensure Examination.

Joining Ms. Celso, seven more graduates have successfully passed the board examination. The University of the East achieved an overall performance rating of 66.67%, surpassing the national passing rate of 62.64%. This remarkable feat reflects the dedication and excellence of our graduates and institution as a whole.

BREAKING | UE Manila produces 8 new librarians

The University of the East (UE)-Manila yielded eight new passers in the September 2023 Librarian Licensure Examination.

Results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed that the Manila Campus achieved a 66.67% passing rate, with eight passers out of 12 examinees.

UE alum Zamylle Ross Celso led all new librarians, topping the exam with an 88.85% rating.

Eid’l Adha Holiday This Wednesday

June 28, 2023, Wednesday, is the latest date of the annual regular nationwide Philippine holiday that is Eid'l Adha or the Feast of the Sacrifice—as declared by Malacañang through Proclamation no. 258.

Thus, there will be no Summer 2023 classes for both UE Manila and UE Caloocan on that day. There will also be no office work on both campuses on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Summer classes and office work in UE will resume on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
