We can’t assume that technical/ subject matter experts come with skills to present or facilitate learning sessions in an engaging manner, especially in online environments such as webinars.

This is because facilitating an engaging webinar takes more than just great content—it’s about how the speaker delivers it!

If you’re a resource speaker, here’s a quick checklist to ensure your webinar is impactful:

✅ Presentation Skills- Speak clearly, confidently, and keep a good pace.
✅ Audience Interaction- Use polls, Q&A, chat, or breakout rooms to keep participants engaged.
✅ Content Development- Ensure slides and visuals are structured, engaging, and aligned with objectives.
✅ Visual & Audio Quality- Clear video, crisp audio, and a distraction-free setup matter!
✅ Crisis Management- Stay calm and adaptable when facing technical issues or disruptions.

A well-facilitated webinar leaves a lasting impression for the learners. It’s less about what we know, and more about what they can learn from us.

Having a multi generational workforce presents many challenges and opportunities for organizations. I’m glad I was able to share some of the things we’re doing at Prevo Design x Innovation to respond to these needs. From getting to know users/ learners better to mindfully designing programs, and using technology to attend to the learning preferences of every generation.
