Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 9) — Officials have announced class suspension for Friday, November 10 as tropical storm Salome further intensifies.

Tropical Depression Salome is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm later Thursday as it crosses the Sibuyan Sea, the state weather forecaster PAGASA said.

Classes in some areas are suspended on Friday due to tropical storm Salome.

JUST IN: Communications Sec. Martin Andanar has announced work suspension in all government offices tomorrow, October 16, 2017, due to the transport strike.

Classes in all levels, both public and private nationwide, will also be suspended. However, the private sector will not be covered by the suspension, which is subject to the discretion of employers. | via Christina Mendez
