Last November 23, 2025, the CSSC Community Development Team joined Phase 3 of 2025: Beyond the Frame in Barangay Limbakan, Marilao, Bulacan.
The morning kicked off with a panel discussion led by Inst. Mark Godwin Villareal & Inst. Gabriel Gan. They talked about how media literacy can empower communities and strengthen real, on-ground development. After that, we opened the floor for questions. Different groups shared their stories, concerns, & ideas.
By the afternoon, the energy picked up even more. Organizations & community participants teamed up to unpack issues like health access, flood control, and environmental stewardship. Each group shared their experiences and came up with practical solutions to help address these challenges. They later presented their proposed projects to everyone. We wrapped up with a short briefing and closed the program on a high note.
A huge thank you to TOMCAT-UST for inviting us. Weโre excited for more collaborations that champion community development!

Afterwards, they voted for the top three (3) most feasible and impactful projects, which were:
1. Studentsโ Reading and Numeracy Tutorial Classes
2. Voter Education and Empowerment Campaign
3. Fire Safety and Other Related Hazards
After the voting, students chose the project they wished to take part in. They then held group huddles where they planned and presented proposals that promote active collaboration among students and organizations within the college.

They have lives too. As Typhoon Uwan approaches the country, we remind everyone to stay indoors with their pets and prepare emergency supplies.
A few reminders to help you and your pets stay safe:
๐พ Bring your pets inside and keep them in a space where they feel comfortable and warm
๐งถ If your pets are anxious during storms, prepare their comfort items like blankets or toys
๐ Charge your mobile devices and power banks
๐ป Stay updated through official weather bulletins and typhoon watch channels
๐ Store enough food, water, and medicine both for your family and your pets
๐ Know your communityโs evacuation areas or centers in case of severe flooding or impact
In case of flooding and youโre unable to evacuate with your pets, please donโt leave them tied up or locked in. Please give them a chance to escape and survive, as they deserve a chance to live too.
All lives deserve to be protected, humans and animals alike, for they are also ๐ฑ๐ข๐ธmily.

We encourage everyone to act responsibly when encountering animals in need. Letโs keep our campus a safe space for every living being. ๐พ
