Several students from the Economics Department were affected by the recent fire incident in Brgy. 535 Alindada St., Balic-Balic, Sampaloc, Manila. Many of them are currently facing significant loss and are in urgent need of support as they begin to recover from this tragedy.

In this regard, we are humbly asking for any form of assistance. Monetary donations, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated and will directly help provide essential needs for the affected students.

Sa pagsulat nito, nanatili sa 4th alarm ang sunog sa Cabildo St. Intramuros, Manila mula nung unang abiso kaninang 5:28 PM. Ang TUGON Merlions ay agarang nagsagawa ng malawakang Donation Drive sa ilalim ng inisyatibong AKSYON Merlion.
Alinsunod sa ilalabas na memorandum, taos-puso po kaming humihikayat sa lahat ng Local Student Councils, Department Student Councils, Non-Academic Organizations, mga opisyal ng klase, at sa buong hanay ng mga mag-aaral at kawani na makiisa at makilahok sa ating layuning makatulong sa mga kapwa nating Merlions na naapektuhan ng trahedya.
Anumang anyo ng donasyon; tulad ng damit, pagkain, hygiene kits, o tulong-pinansyal—ay aming lubos na pinahahalagahan at buong-pusong tinatanggap. Karagdagan nito, inaatasan ang lahat ng konseho na tukuyin at i-report ang mga mag-aaral mula sa kani-kanilang departamento na naapektuhan ng sunog. Mangyaring isama ang sumusunod na detalye sa inyong ulat:

- Program at Section
- Naulat na Casualties (kung meron)
Mahalaga ang inyong agarang pagtugon at pakikiisa upang mas mapabilis at mas mapalawak ang tulong na maiparating sa ating mga kapwa mag-aaral. Maraming salamat sa inyong malasakit at patuloy na suporta.

Every corner of the Universidad de Manila burst with color 🚥, energy 🔮, and cheers! 📣 as the College of Business and Management proudly showcased its brilliance this last February 26, 2026.

The celebration was followed by the TORCH LIGHTING led by the CBM-Local Student Council and representatives from each department: ECOSOC, JMA, HRSAP, YES, and HMSOC, symbolizing the igniting flame 🔥 of excellence and unity within the College of Business and Management.

As the parade comes to a close, the fire we lit may continue to burn driving passion, leadership, and the pursuit of excellence in every CBM student.
