On behalf of the Office of the Counseling and Psychological Services, we wish to share our deep sadness upon the passing of our beloved University Registrar, Dr. Flordeliza E. Alvendia. She started in PUP at the Guidance Office of the university in the 1980’s. She showed dedication and willingness to help those who are in need especially at the guidance office for many years, with her dedication at work, she was given responsibilities and headed different offices and finally as PUP’s University Registrar.
We request your prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Dr. Flordeliza E. Alvendia.

We lovingly remember Mrs. Leonila A. Dionisio, our former OCPS staff, whose gentle smile, kindness, and motherly care wrapped us in warmth and comfort each day. Her quiet dedication, tireless service, and generous, joyful heart touched our work, our students, and, most of all, our lives. Thank you, Ate Ning, for the gift of yourself—for the embraces, the listening ear, the small acts of love, and the way you made each of us in OCPS feel seen, valued, and at home; you will forever remain in our hearts.
We request your prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Mrs. Leonila A. Dionisio.

Honoring Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week with Our Community
As we take part in this national observance, we’re reminded of an important truth: keeping our communities safe is something we all contribute to, and even the smallest efforts can make a big difference.
Drug abuse affects far more than one individual; it impacts families, relationships, aspirations, and the future of our young people. That’s why Office of Counseling and Psychological Services stands with our university, parents, leaders, and the entire community to raise awareness and encourage meaningful conversations that protect and uplift.
This week, let’s make space to:
💚 Truly listen to our youth
💚 Offer support to those who may be facing challenges
💚 Learn more about the effects of drug abuse on health and well-being
💚 Work hand in hand to create a safer, healthier environment for all.
Every act of care, no matter how small, helps build a community where everyone can grow, feel valued, and stay safe.
