📌Applicants must have a GWA of 𝟮.𝟬𝟬 or better without failing grades

📌𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
• Letter of Intent (Addressed to Dept. Chairperson Prof. Lemmor Dela Peña) noted by a parent/ legal guardian
• Curriculum Checklists (from your previous course and BS Bio)
• Copy of CRS Grades signed by Adviser/Chairperson and noted by the Dean
• Study Plan
• Photocopy of ID
• Your name, student ID number, and email address (both personal and school emails) on a piece of paper

📌Put these documents inside a 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲.
📌Submissions will be done face-to-face, at the 𝗖𝗦 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿, 𝗚𝗟), on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗺 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬.

The PLM Society for Biological Sciences has formally approved the convening of the electoral board members for the upcoming core officers elections. This mandate establishes an independent body authorized to ensure democracy, transparency, and integrity throughout the electoral process.

The newly constituted board shall oversee all election-related proceedings, from the filing of candidacy to the final proclamation of winners. Through this transition, the PSBS reaffirms its commitment to integrity and accountability as it welcomes the next generation of student leaders.

𝗟𝗼𝗴 #𝟲: 𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿?

Do 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 ⭐️💫appear in plants? No— it's just 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘮 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦! Commonly known as 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐡 or 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 in the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬.

It was spotted by 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐨, inside the campus of 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚. This species belongs to the 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘮 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦 was known due to its purple to reddish undersides and explosive floral clusters.

It might look 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 but don’t let it fool you! It is a 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐮𝐛 that is 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 and 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 to the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬. It thrives in 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 and often acts as a 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐭 for the 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬. 🌴🐝

When it 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬, it produces 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠—𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 that extend from its base. It resembles a 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬. It has 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 above and 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡. Its unique leaf color is an 𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 that helps the plant to maximize its 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬. 🌱
