The MA Philippine Studies Program of the PUP Graduate School, together with the PUP Department of History and Samahang Pangkasaysayan ng Tundo (SAKATUNDO) successfully held the 6th Special Lecture as part of the ๐๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐จ๐๐ฃ ๐จ๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐ค: ๐๐ป ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐บ on January 29, 2026, via Zoom.
The lecture was given by Dr. Na Li, Associate Professor of History at the National University of Singapore. Her topic explored the practice, debates, and emerging direction in the Public History in Asia.
Scholarly reactions were given by Mr. Gregorio R. Caliguia III, faculty member of PUP Department of History and Master of Arts in Philippine Studies program; Mr. Christopher G. Sida, Public Relations Officer of SAKATUNDO; and Mr. Gerwill Cruz, graduate student of Master of Arts in Philippine Studies.
This special lecture underscores the MA Philippine Studies Programโs commitment to fostering critical and interdisciplinary discussions on Philippine and global issues. Through forums such as this, the program continues to create spaces for intellectual exchange, strengthen engagement with diverse publics, and encourage meaningful dialogue across local and international scholarly communities.

Disyembre 28, 2025 - Isang makabuluhang tagumpay para sa pananaliksik Pilipino ang naitala sa ginanap na 2nd ASEAN Multidisciplinary Research Conference 2025 (AMRC2025) kung saan tampok ang mahuhusay na papel na tumalakay sa kultura, pananampalataya, kapangyarihan, at kontemporanyong ekspresyong kultural ng lipunang Pilipino mula sa humigit apatnapung kalahok mula sa ibat ibang eskwelahan, pamantasan, at mga unibersidad sa Pilipinas.

Lubos ding ipinagmalaki ang tagumpay ni Jovan Ernest T. Rey sa Parallel Session I โ AM, matapos magwagi bilang Best Presenter at Best Abstract para sa kanyang pananaliksik na โRecontextualizing FlipTop: Deconstructing Modern Battle Rap from Balagtasan and the Future of Filipino Hip-Hop,โ isang pag-aaral na nag-uugnay sa tradisyong Balagtasan at sa kontemporanyong anyo ng FlipTop bilang salamin ng nagbabagong kamalayang kultural ng kabataang Pilipino.
Patunay ang mga pagkilalang ito na patuloy na buhay, mapanuri, at makabuluhan ang ambag ng mga Pilipinong iskolar sa larangan ng interdisiplinaryong pananaliksikโhindi lamang sa bansa, kundi sa mas malawak na diskurso ng rehiyong ASEAN.

Gaite ng kaniyang ibahagi ang papel na pinamagatang, "From Papal Teachings to Provincial Policy: Laudato Si's Role in the Palawan Mining Moratorium" na kabilang sa kategorya ng Social Empowerment and Governance. Ang papel na ito ay bahagi ng ng 3rd International Multidisciplinary Research-Based Extension Conference na ginanap sa Tagbilaran City, Bohol at may temang "Rooted in Service, Rising in Impact: Reimagining Extension for Local Solutions to Global Challenges."
