Speakers from the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition (MSCN) program will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research results that elucidates the processes through which the gut microbiota impacts the genesis and progression of diseases.

PWU Nutrition Students won 3rd Place in the 50th DOST-Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) Undergraduate Research Competition.

Third year students from the BS Nutrition and Dietetics program, Ms. Lian Jean F. Go (Presenter) and Ms. Nathalie Lachica, of PWU School of Nutrition garnered 3RD PLACE and finalist in the 50th DOST-FNRI Seminar Series Undergraduate Research Competition held onsite in Sheraton Manila Hotel last July 3-4, 2024. Research advisers: Assoc Prof. Abby Rose Flores, Assoc. Prof. Vanessa Ceballos-Marasigan.

Their study entitled "The Influence of School Cafeteria Nutrition Label on Lunch Meal Food Choices Among College Students in a University in Manila City” aims to investigate changes in the diet quality of the participating college students after the implementation of nutrition labels in the school cafeteria.

With the great initiative from the university management, administration, and School of Nutrition department, students were able to successfully conduct a study to support the call to action of increasing nutrition awareness in the school community.
