One of the most beautiful set of chants for Ordinary Time. The "Orbis Factor"
We wish that all liturgical choirs learn these chants. Many of the vernacular songs we have (i.e. songs in the local languages) are beautiful. However, music that gives unity to the liturgy is music that has been sang throughout the centuries in the official language of the Church, Latin.
We enjoin choirs and rectors and chaplains of chapels, churches, cathedrals and basilicas to encourage Gregorian chant singing, even if it is just once a month.
Saint Cecilia, patron of Music, pray for us and pray for all choirs.
