The XS Next Lab explores the intersection of the arts, science, technology and design. We focus on expressing unexplored problems, and building things that help promote social justice.

As one community united in innovation, let us offer our prayers for Luis Miguel Tolentino, Director of Project Innovation and a Grade 11 student from Collegio San Agustin Makati.

We may have lost a friend, but let us keep his legacy alive.

Luis Miguel Tolentino, Director of Project Innovation, has passed away on December 8, 2017.

Luis was great, more than just a member of Project Innovation, he was family, he became our brother. The moment of his interview to be a part of the Executive Board, he showed true potential, a driving force that we believed that could be the future of Project Innovation. He worked diligently and did his task as Internal Affairs Officer responsibly, and the majority of the time, he did more than what his job description was. He took charge when we needed him to, took action where he saw what was lacking, and helped us when we needed him. Luis was a man for all men, he served others, unconditionally.

He believed in our goal of being the outlet for students to do more than what limits them, to bring them out to the real world and give them the opportunities that they wouldn't normally get.

All the times we spent with him together as an organization, he never failed to bring joy and laughter to us. He was unique, a person you will never find in the multiverse as he would describe it. He was always ready to work and take charge, he loved it, but he was also always ready to bring laughter to us, show us his crazy but notable dance moves, his amazing memes, and his well thought off puns. Every moment with him was a moment never to forget.

This was never publically announced, even to the organization, but Luis was promoted to Director of Project Innovation from his last role as Internal Affairs Officer. Throughout the time he has grown with us as an organization, he brought us to unimaginable lengths, lead us to great achievements, he was the making of a future President. We are saddened that we were never able to announce it; the night he passed was the night we planned to tell the public, the photo used here was the photo he chose to be his new profile picture. We only wished that we spent more time with him, but thankful for the time we did.

We all heartfully love and miss you, Luis, may you rest in peace, and watch over us from above.
